Craig Chalmers Will Star In Joseph Tour
Runner up from the BBC TV show, Any Dream Will Do, Craig Chalmers has landed the starring role in a touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The 16-week regional tour of the musical kicks off on 20 August at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, Kent.
The singer, who was once in the boyband No Reason, is hoping to use his “pop background to give Joseph a more up-to-date image”.
I am surprised by this casting choice. I liked Craig, but thought he lacked the talent of some of the stronger candidates, eg; Daniel and Seamus. Perhaps they didn’t audition for this tour.

I think maybe someone set up a few computers to constantly view the clips. On a completley unrlated note, Simon Cowell has always been very good at marleting and pushing the artists he wants to the forefront of audiences.

I picked up the Joseph flier from the Bromley Theatre yesterday (I am seeing the show twice in Bromley next week!!) and was delighted to find that Chris Barton is also in the show as a brother – he will play Joseph in the tour when Craig isn’t.
Saw Lee last week in London and he was seriously FAB. Will definitely try to see him again before he finishes.

can anybody give me dates and places for joesph 2008
I would like to know the 2008 tour dates. I saw the show in Southend, Essex on 22nd April. Keith’s voice was phenominal, just an outstanding performance. He gave me goosebumps when he sang some of the numbers and really let his voice go – a truly outstanding performance. Craig was a good Joseph – rather better than I thought he was going to be. A very worthwhile show to see.
saw craig keith & chris in joseph on 23rd april @ cliffs pavilion southend on sea. they were fantastic very good production. all the cast were full of energy could see it again. janet & tony grossman.
