About Big Brother’s GTB (gay, transgender, bisexual) balance and why Arron Lowe should stay over Chris James – if only for Scott Mason!

Ok, you did it to me again at last Big Brother!! After not bothering with the, frankly, boring show last year and only watching the two celebrity series recently, I’m finally hooked again (and to think I only tuned in to see what the house looked like.)

One of the reasons I continued watching in 2012, was the fact that the house finally was more GTB inclusive (gay, transgender, bisexual) again and the characters were different.

I was rooting for Luke A – female to male transgender don’t feature too much in the media – but sadly I think Luke played his cards too soon. With coming out on the first full day he almost cancelled himself out. Why go through all the trouble of becoming a man and wanting to be seen as one to then tell the whole world the second you’re on TV that you used to be a women? Why not live like you wanted too in the first place and not tell, or at least wait a week. There must be more to him then this? With coming out so soon and then moving away from everyone, I think he more or less took himself out of the game before he even started.

When I see Benedict Garrett (the bisexual porn star) I keep thinking of George Michael and I couldn’t tell you why. I really like his sarcastic wit, mixed with his clever and caring statements. If he remains like this, he’ll go far. Nice to see a true bisexual in the group, maybe he’ll show it as it really is and not the hyped up media version.

Scott is a true joy if looking and sounding a lot like David Walliams when he starred as Eminem in Rock Profile.

That posh sound is cute and funny, but I feel for him being the only gay in the house, despite bisexual Benedict. Scott is only 20, while Benedict is 31 and they obviously have not much in common.

I’m a bit miffed with Brian Dowling, when he said he wanted to see gay romance in the house, didn’t he realise you need more then one gay for a love story?

This is where Arron comes in. Despite many people saying that with other good looking people in the house, Arron won’t be missed I think he will be if he is evicted this Friday. Arron is very different from the other guys, looks wise and personality wise. Despite sometimes being cocky and naughty, he is sensitive to other people’s needs. He is a big reason for me tuning in. I also detected a fluidity in his sexuality that Scott picked up on too. If he stays there could be experimentation, because Scott said that he might try to hit on him soon.

Arron also seems more understanding of the gay community, asking Big Brother why there were no other gay people in the house and even revealing he purposely showered in front of Scott so he had something to look at. These are things I’d love to see more off, as it clear that Arron would only do something like that if he felt at least something too. Scott’s crush is so cute and I’d love to see how this story would play out. Take Arron out and we will miss a lot of this and Scott might withdraw and pine for Arron.

Arron was the one who got the house going in the first place and has a lot left to give. I’m really not interested in Chris James suffering a nervous breakdown for another week. All I can think when seeing him is that this house really is not doing his mental health any favours and how he ever functioned as a doorman and a bailiff is beyond me. It’s not funny, it’s someone suffering severe mental stress.

Please vote wisely and let Chris return to the safety of his mother and let Arron stay to stir things up and have fun with Scott!!
