Big Brother 2008: Davina McCall To Quit

Davina McCall is reportedly leaving Channel 4 reality Tv show, Big Brother. Instead Davina wants to transform herself into a serious actress and has even signed up with new manager, Michael Foster. Foster managed to turn Billie Piper from a teen pop princess into an acclaimed actress, so no doubt Davina is looking for some of that action.

A source told the News Of The World that Davina thinks the time is right to move on. “After doing so many series of Big Brother, she’s become seriously bored,” the associate contends. “She’s very excited and convinced that Michael can turn her into a serious actor.”

A Channel 4 spokesperson has said: “Davina has had to make some very hard choices. There is an understanding at Big Brother that it’s very unlikely she’ll be back.”

    Thank God! She is absolutely appalling as an interviewer. I used to like her until it finally clicked that she always seems to side with the more chauvinistic characters. She laughs off people’s pain, which I don’t find an endearing quality. Chauvinism & sexism are repugnant traits in our society along with racism (which channel 4 seemed to address). If it’s any ‘ism’ it’s not on. I am left thinking she doesn’t like women. I think she will be better off as an actress, pretending to be anyone other than herself. Can’t wait for her to disappear off to the States.
