Big Brother launches tonight on Channel 4 and it is being heralded as the toughest series yet. You can read more on the hardships faced by the housemates here.

However Big Brother won’t just be limiting food and privileges, they will also be cracking down on any fake relationships in the house. This year there will be no toleration of couples just out for magazine deals and column inches.

Show boss Sharon Powers told The Sun:

“We’ve got a new rule this year – Big Brother is not putting up with any false romances.

“We will test whether any romance is real. If it’s fake, we will punish the housemates.”

The 16 housemates due to enter the house tonight are said to be the most attractive bunch yet. They will reportedly include only two ‘attached’ people, one beauty queen and several are gay or bisexual individuals.
