Big Brother launches its tenth series in just a few weeks time and for the first time ever it won’t be sponsored by a telephone company.

Carphone Warehouse pulled their sponsorship after the huge Jade Goody scandal and Virgin recently announced that they would no longer be backing the show either.

An insider told The Daily Star: “In the days of Jade Goody they got 2million people voting on Friday nights. Now they struggle to get a quarter of that, so the phone companies don’t think it’s worth it.”

I think Red Bull would have been the better sponsor for the show as it doesn’t just give you energy, it also gives you wings. How handy would that be if you had been incarcerated in Elstree for 10 weeks and fancied a Chinese takeaway?
