Bookies have thrown their weight behind father of eight Steve Gill, picking him as their early favourite to win Big Brother 11.

The ex-serviceman amputee spends his time fighting for the causes he believes in. Despite his disability sporty he is a transatlantic yacht racer and recently took part in the Royal Ocean Yacht Race with an amputee crew of ex-servicemen personal.

Since entering the house last night, Steve has been placed at 4/1, closely followed by Yorkshire joiner Nathan and Australian hunk John James at 6/1.
