Big Brother housemate Shabby Katchadourian was a posh public school child actress, until her acting roles dried up a few years ago.

The 24 year old, who was punished for talking about nominations last night, lives in a London squat and often implies that she is of the ‘working class’, however old friends say that Shabby is just trying to shock people and that she is actually from a very privileged background.

She went up against Lindsay Lohan for a role in the hit movie ‘The Parent Trap’ in 1998 and after she missed out on the role, friends say that Shabby completely changed.

A pal told The Sun:

“Shabby’s from a privileged background and the area she grew up in is very middle class.

“She’s trying to stand out by saying she lives in a squat and making out she has nothing. But people who grew up with her know she’s doing it for the shock factor.”

“When she stopped getting roles, she went off the rails.

“She changed her name for the attention and everyone thought that it was pretty stupid. She was really up herself.”

Shabby might be a bit of a faker, but at least she’s interesting, which is more than can be said for some of this year’s housemates!
