Seemingly out of nowhere, Big Brother housemate Adam Kelly has become the bookies’ new favourite to win the show, and it’s considered that’s down to two factors; the racism debacle sparked by Caroline branding him “a ridiculous gorilla” and his – apparently – massive… erm, lunch box.

Starting with Caroline and her rant, and of course her later rant when she remarked, “Look at him, like Martin Luther King reigning down over his people…” a number of viewers complained to TV watchdog Ofcom, who are currently investigating.

And yesterday, in a totally ludicrous move, MP Keith Vaz called for a government debate about alleged racism and bullying on the show. You can read my thoughts on that here if you so wish.

However, bookmaker Ladbrokes have now slashed Adam’s odds and made him the 3-1 favourite to win…

A spokesman for the company said last night, “We’ve seen a sudden surge for Adam.”

Coral bookmakers have him the 10-3 favourite, and their spokesman added, “Adam comes across as a likely laid-back sort of guy and has done very little wrong.”

As to Adam’s big ‘attribute’, apparently the housemates have seen it in the shower, and they’re impressed.

Luke A told his fellow housemates, “It’s huge” while Shievonne remarked, “He’ll bruise someone” and Deana concluded, “It’s like a third leg.”

Yikes.
