Adam Kelly upstaged Lydia Louisa at her own birthday party last night, when he got down on one knee and proposed to fellow Big brother housemate Shievonne Robinson.

The pair enjoyed a romantic date, courtesy of BB earlier in the week and last night, as the celebrations were in full swing, the former LA gang member turned his attentions back to the brunette beauty and asked for her hand in marriage.

He apologised to Lydia before taking centre stage and asking if Shiev would become his wife, and explained:

‘You’re not only my world, you’re my girl. You complete me, you make me whole.’

‘I’m going to see you in that dress, I’m going to see us down that aisle together and I want you to bear my first child.’

Shievonne seemed shocked by the proposition and at a loss for words. She wasn’t convinced that the proposal was serious and to be honest, neither were we.

Later, she retreated to the garden and confronted Adam about his question. She told the hunk that she feels old and would love to get married and have children and she felt like he was making a bit of a fool out of her.

However, he insisted that he was serious and meant every word and complained:

‘You said no. I am the butt of the joke really.’

It seems that he may have been jesting all along though and as he continued to tease Robinson, he pleaded:

‘Don’t nominate me because I love you…’
