As we reported earlier, the Big Brother housemates are having to be party animals for the next two days as they’re challenged to enjoy one shindig after another…

Earlier, their first challenge was a Chidrens’ Party, complete with an assault course, and this afternoon, they’ve been propelled into the future, or the past, to have a New Year’s Eve Party, which has been followed by a girls’ only Slumber Party.

For the New Year’s Eve Party, the housemates were told that it’s December the 31st and the hour is approaching midnight. They were told that it’s New Year’s Eve all the time for the duration of the task, and that that fact would have “practical consequences…”

For the task, every time Big Brother sounded a countdown, housemates had to gather around a miniature Big Ben and sing a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne, popping streamers and swigging drinks…

Next up was the Slumber Party which saw the ladies of the house, Sara, Deana, Caroline, Becky and Ashleigh, having to change into skimpy nightwear before competing in a series of one-on-one gladiator-esque pillow fights.

The aim of the pillow fights was to knock one another off a bed, and while the girls battled it out, the male housemates watched on the screen in the living area.
