Big Brother 2012: In the aftermath of White Room twist, Conor says, “I feel a bit of a d**k about what I done to Luke”
Yesterday was Day 60 in the Big Brother house, and of course, it culminated in Becky Hannon being evicted from the house, and Conor McIntyre choosing to leave the BB compound, £50,000 richer.
As we reported earlier, his fellow White Room housemate Luke S was far from impressed with Conor’s actions in taking the money and running – even though he would clearly have done so himself had he not been just a fraction of a second too late in pressing his buzzer – and he later branded Conor “a lying b***ard.”
However, even as a shell shocked Conor was still coming to terms with the whirlwind of his win and eviction, when he appeared on Bit on the Side, he said, “I wasn’t going to press the button… but this money is going to change my life.”
Conor explained, “Luke said ‘I’m going to press it’, I said ‘What about Ash?’, but he kept on ‘I’m going to press it’… so I thought, you don’t care about Ash, I’m going to take it.”
He went on to say, “This is for the people that saved me, that people back home that supported to me. I’m so glad I did it.
“I feel a bit of a d**k about what I done to Luke, but he was going to do it to me.”
Conor then backed Adam to win the show, and the remaining £50k prize fund, saying, “Adam was gutted…. but truthfully, if there’s someone I want to win it would be Adam or Ash.
“Adam has been through a lot, he deserves it, it would change his life. I’m friends with Ash but I hope Adam gets it.”
This morning, Conor’s now former housemates are also still coming to terms with the events of last night, with a still somewhat bewildered Luke A asking Deana, “Did that really just happen?”
She confirmed that yes it did, and it hadn’t been some bizarre dream, but she added that with hindsight, she thinks Conor might regret leaving.
She remarked, “You can always make that money, but you can’t buy this experience.”
To which Luke A conceded, “I’d much rather the experience.”
Here’s a clip of their chat…
What do you reckon? Would the BB experience be worth giving up £50k?
I categorically know I’d have done exactly what Conor did!

I just wish conor had gone through the public vote and not by gaining 50 grand and running out of the door. It would have been better if the coundown on the money had started at £50,000 and gone down.At least that way there would have been a bit more cash for the Rightful winner (not a lot more I bet) but at least the public who have been paying to vote in this fiasco would have had a bit more control in who they want to receive their just deserts.
Deana is right , bb experience worth millions, not barely 50k
