Big Brother 2012: Luke A & Adam agree to share prize money if they win, but so did Jay McKray and Alex Rose! FAIL

Earlier this week, during a chat about the final and the remaining £50,000 prize money, Big Brother housemates Adam Kelly and Luke Anderson made a pact that if either of them win the money, they’ll hand over £5,000 to the other.

But while Luke A is guaranteed a place in the final – having avoided being up for eviction this week in the final round of nominations – Adam could well leave on Friday, given that he, Deana, Ashleigh and Scott all face being given the boot at the eleventh hour.

And of course, it’s a double eviction this week, so two of the nominated housemates will leave on Friday.

However, while Luke A and Adam may well intend to honour their agreement, BB fans may recall that a similar pact made between last year’s housemates failed to come to fruition on the outside…

In case you didn’t see last year’s BB, in a nutshell, when Big Brother announced a twist over the prize money – and revealed that each housemate would get a share in varying amounts of £50k – all the housemates agreed to split the money won into lots of £10,000 each when they left the house.

The amounts on offer varied from £3,000 to £30,000 but as the agreement to split the £50k five ways on the outside was made, nobody was terribly bothered who won what at the time.

But after the show ended, Jay McKray – who of course met his now wife Louise Cliffe in the house – took to Twitter to report that fellow housemate Alex Rose had reneged on the deal.

He wrote, “Some people are so different out off bb,” and later added that Alex had only shared her money with fellow housemate Tom O’Connell.

Jay added, “Alex is a totally different person…

“Am trying 2 be sivel but she’s not the same person a was in that house with really nasty ! Am shocked to bits ! Not disco at al. (sic)

“[Alex is] not a nice person she’s a nasty person…[she is] very nasty she’s callin me worse than s**t am not putting up with it like just a bit upsetting.

“no 1 cares about the money happiness is what counts.”

What the eventual outcome was I can’t claim to know, but I guess if Alex had had second thoughts and shared the cash, Jay might have made mention of it.

However, point being, do you think Adam and Luke A will keep to their pact? Or will it be a case of all bets off when they leave the house?

In the meantime, here’s a reminder of how that money in BB2011 was divided up by the housemates…
