Big Brother 2012 Results: Transexual Luke A wins in the final, shares his love for Adam Kelly, and says it was all about acceptance!
Luke A has become this year’s Big Brother winner.
The transexual chef beat off stiff competition this evening from Adam, Sara, Deana and Luke S to be crowned the champion of the 2012 series and to pocket the £50,000 prize money for himself and his wife.
The unassuming housemate seems shocked to have triumphed and looked even more flabbergasted when Brian Dowling handed him his suitcase of cash.
Speaking to the presenter afterwards, he admitted that the experience was all about acceptance for him . He explained:
‘It’s great to feel acceptance. A big part of it was about acceptance, all my life I have been an outsider, so to win this…..’
Luke could have landed £100,000 tonight, only during a recent task Conor McIntyre scooped half the prize money and left the house. The chef insisted that he bears no ill will towards the personal trainer and insisted:
‘It’s not about the money for me, obviously it’s really nice but I’m glad he got the money too.’
Luke was asked why he thought he won and why he thinks so many thousands of people voted for him this evening. He didn’t seem to have a clue and laughed:
‘I don’t know. I was the quietest in the house I felt, they were more entertaining.’
He also spoke about his bromance with Adam Kelly and their close relationship which lasted for the duration of the series. Luke says that there was a lot to love about the American wannabe and continued:
‘He is just such a genuine, down to earth, good hearted and solid guy. He made me feel safe in that house. Cheesy as it sounds, it was nice to have people to talk to. ‘
So what will he take away from the experience? Well Anderson knows a little more about himself now it would seem and he concluded:
‘I have learned that I can be very stubborn, very determined and quite sarcastic sometimes.’
