Big Brother 2012: Scott Mason leaves the house after suffering a bereavement

Who let Victor Meldrew's lovechild in?

Scott Mason was granted a leave of absence from the Big brother house today.

The poncy hopeful was allowed to leave the Elstree residence this afternoon, after someone close to him passed away.

Channel 5 confirmed that there had been a bereavement in Scott’s inner circle, but refused to reveal whether it was a family member of a friend who died today.

Mason has since returned to the house and as yet, Big Brother bosses have not revealed the details of the news they delivered to him.

Fans of the show will most likely find out over the coming days though, as it is expected that the 20 year old history student will tell his new friends and fellow housemates.

A post on Big Brother’s Facebook page read ‘Scott has suffered a bereavement of someone close to him. After leaving the House temporarily to receive the news, he has decided to rejoin the House for the time being.’

There is always the possibility that Scott will leave again, particularly if he needs to attend a funeral. We can’t help but wonder what bosses would do in that instance and whether they would let him to return to the residence, after spending an extended period in the outside world.
