Big Brother 2012: Sooo, what do we think of the new HMs? Epic or epic fail?

Well it’s the morning after the night before, and now the housemate dust has settled, we want to know who you’re loving or hating so far.

But first, I must just comment on Brian Dowling’s hosting last night, and most notably, how much more relaxed he seemed in the role than he did during the show’s last outing.

He came across as being far more confident last night, and more comfortable, and a good deal funnier!

I suspect that during the last edition, which was of course the celebrity version, he felt rather much in Davina McCall’s shadow, and rightly so, she was and is awesome…

His humour last time was stilted and evidently rehearsed, but last night, it flowed freely and aside from one up-cock – when he said “Is that the Scott of death” when he meant to say, “Is that the kiss of death [from Deana]” it all went like clockwork.

And he even rapidly recovered from that. So bravo Big B.

Ok, so back to who you – and I – like or loathe, and right off, I have to say Lydia and Victoria irritated me with their responses to being nominated by Deana

Yes, I get that they all clearly had to go through innumerable and largely downright tedious hoops to get into the house, and therefore being nominated on the very first night must suck significantly, nonetheless, they, like everyone else, know how the game works.

It’s often dog eat dog, and BB throws in these confrontational situations quite on purpose, for our devilment glee at watching them squirm, and of all three of the HMs that Deana nominated, only Conor retained a dignified silence, so bravo to him.

My early Oo I Like You housemates are Adam, Benedict (for obvious reasons when you look at him) and Luke S – the one who isn’t transgendered; he’s Luke A – and Deana.

My jury’s out over Shievonne, I suspect there’s some inner bitch lurking there, but of course, time will tell. Caroline needs Ritalin and a hairbrush, so she bugged me.

And I’m not a huge fan of the constant profanity from Ashleigh, who seems to think it’s endearing.

But as to everyone else, I haven’t seen enough of them yet to form any firm opinions.

And let’s not forget those Wild Card HMs, one of whom will be going in on Friday. Who do you like or dislike among them?

I think my vote’s going to go to Bhavesh to go in. Anyone who can scream like a girl while being shocked is a winner for me, and he did it ever so well, even collapsing on occasion.

But let us know your opinions dear readers, for you are the peeps who matter…
