Big Brother 2013: Sam Evans branded a “fake” as pub landlord claims, “He’s a horrible, arrogant little sh*t!”

sam evans
Big Brother finalist Sam Evans is of course known as a ‘Mr Nice Guy’ in the house, and has rarely, if ever, become involved in any of the show’s dramas and rows and has therefore stayed firmly under the radar and pretty much coasted into the last week…

However, a pub landlord – who claims he’s barred the Welsh lad from his boozer – from Sam’s hometown Llanelli reckons that the Sam we’re seeing onscreen is a “fake” and far from his ‘real’ persona.

The Daily Star reports, “Publican Craig Davies also revealed he had banned Sam after he hit customers with a pool cue and treated staff ‘like skivvies’.”

sam evansCraig Davies said of Sam, “He is a horrible, arrogant little sh*t.”

Craig, who runs The South Star in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, added, “I’ve banned him from my boozer as he’s a rude, obnoxious, arrogant little kid and people should know what he is like.

“The Sam they see on Big Brother is a fake.”

Craig went on to say that after Sam appeared on Channel 4 game show Deal Or No Deal, he became “rude and offensive.”

He explained, “Sam thought because he’d been on TV he was a celebrity. He started being rude and offensive.

“He swore at my staff and treated them like skivvies. He upset customers by whacking them with his pool cue because they got in the way of his shots.”

He added, “Every time I’ve seen him on Big Brother looking like butter wouldn’t melt, I’ve thought: ‘You’re acting!’

“It’d be the worst thing in the world if he won. His head would get so big it wouldn’t fit in the Valleys.”

The article concluded with “Last night Sam’s family declined to comment.”

What do you reckon? Is Sam hiding his real character?

For now, here’s a look at the latest house action…

Is this new report part of lies & secrets?? There is something suspicious about anything g that goes on regarding Big Brother and especially in the closing weeks. There has been a continual plan by BB to keep Dexter & Gina in which they have done well. I think Sam is a big threat to BBs plan as he has a big chance of winning. Why is this outside interference allowed? Another attempt at dishing dirt and changing people’s opinions in this gruesome sleeze ball of a game this year.

    1. Maria foda on August 16, 2013 at 5:10 pm

GET SAM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a threat and an insult to both people and children with hearing problems. Sam is not portraying a good image of deaf people. In my work I have come across many deaf children with great skills to achieve their potential without seeking sympathy to achieve. Sam has no potential or skills apart from his potential to gain as much sympathy from the public for a cheap meal, but in the name of his hearing aid. This is wrong and an insult to also charities working tireless to remove the stigma attached to deaf people and children. Gina to win at least she is giving everything to charity.

      1. MickL on August 20, 2013 at 8:19 am

Same here Maria…I have a couple of deaf mates who say that Sam has given disability in general a bad name by being lazy, crude, nasty, and by being a bully towards Dexter, and ganging up with Callum to put Dexter down all the time – that’s bullying! Sam also does nothing in life except sleep; he’s totally uneducated – and this is a huge insult to deaf people who will all vouch for being able to read properly and hold down good jobs. I also have a deaf neice around the same age as Sam who has clearly said she should never look to this moron for inspiration. Fixed 100%. Dexter was the winner, but BB didn’t want him to have the money or the title. There’s no way the British public voted for Sam to win!

    2. MickL on August 20, 2013 at 8:16 am

I think you’ll find that BB/Ch5 fixed the show for “Sam the nice guy” to win – there’s no way the public voted this idiot as their winner.

  2. granny di on August 16, 2013 at 9:11 am

I tend not to take notice of what is said in the Daily Star but my opinion of Sam has changed. I thought he was a nice lad but his true colours came to the surface when Dexter won immunity. He has disliked Dexter from the start and Callum reinforced his hatred. As Dexter said “I’m damned if I do and I’m damned if I don’t, you can’t win in this house”. One of them was going to choose the lowest amount so whichever one that was thought they’d be out. If it had been ANY of the others I bet they wouldn’t have had the nasty remarks that Dexter has had to put up with.
I also thought it was horrible that in the pool one of the twins said that if Dexter won he was going to boo him. I wish I could point out to him that IF Dexer wins it is because more people voted for him than you mate.

    1. MickL on August 20, 2013 at 8:14 am

You’re so right. Sam behaved viciously towards Dexter, and even those horrible twins said in their interview that “yes, he’s playing the game, but he’s mugging himself of by playing it” – what a horrible trio Sam and those twins were! I’m convinced the show is fixed, as there’s no way Sam had more votes than Dexter, and BB/Ch5 wanted their so called “nice guy” to win.

  3. Paul on August 16, 2013 at 9:59 am

Sorry Karen you’re wrong. You’re not very good at interpreting reality.

BB have twisted things to ensure they keep in who they want, you’re right. But in the past 2 weeks they have done EVERYTHING to dent Gina’s popularity. From the tasks to the edits to the shit they have posted on Facebook. Example, they know without a doubt that over exposure of a contestant makes viewers angry and turn against people. So big bro plastered Gina on FB last week until people posted they were sick of the Gina show. Then they did everything to stir things with Gina and Hazel. They know exactly what they are doing. Gina is not the one they want to win. It’s Sam.

    1. Nat on August 16, 2013 at 12:58 pm

I thought I was the only one who realised this! So true i realised this from the challenge when Gina was the queen Bee

    2. MickL on August 20, 2013 at 8:09 am

They did the same to Dexter – they set the poor guy up because they didn’t want him to win. Emma Willis alone has done her best to make sure nobody likes him, and has put the seed in everyone’s head to doubt the poor guy. He’s done his best throughout to show us all who and what he is, and he was the most interesting, entertaining, and likeable person in there. Willis referred to him as ‘Devious Dexter’ in last Friday’s show, and has shamelessly promoted Sam as a ‘nice guy’ – utter crap! Sam is a totally unintelligent, crude, nasty, slimey bully, and so many deaf people are speaking out to make sure he is not associated as representing them. I’m hoping BB face an OfCom investigation about the voting – there’s no way Sam won that show with votes from the public….Nobody’s mentioned him until recently….

  4. Mark on August 16, 2013 at 1:29 pm

Of course he is fake and acting he was supposed to have a hearing problem and wanted sympathy yet last night he was able to chat with dexter while turning his back on him but hearing all he said and responding yes he is the game player they all are but he is conning the public also I saw this from the off he kept a low profile happy for others to get the flack he was boring and is boring

Thank god for dexter he has been true all the way through he has been nominated nearly every week but has stayed true to who he is what you see is what you get I prefe this than the game sam has played

We should be cheering Gian and dexter they have made the show this time

  5. Mark on August 16, 2013 at 1:34 pm

I have changed my mind on all of this I hope dexter wins he has stayed true throughout you know where you stood with him like him or not he is true I prefer that in real life to know where you stand with people sam is showing now who he is he has hung back hid behind Callum and in someways dan now he has no one to hide behind we are seeing him for what he is now deceit of the public with his hearing with his supposed nice image well now we are seeing who he really is

    For me dexter to win

  6. Karen Evangelista on August 16, 2013 at 1:35 pm

Paul I am very good at interpreting reality and have 2 doctorates to prove that you rude person. Are you saying all of what has happened in Big Brother real and realistic?? Its called Lies and Secrets for starters and that’s been known from the beginning and that CERTAINLY is not realistic to the extent it has been done. People who write on facebook are not the only people who watch the show PLUS those who use facebook don’t always look to see what is going on in the BB house and you are so wrong to assume that. I have not seen one bit about Gina nor the rest and half of my business is run within facebook. As I wrote their plan to keep Gina in is correct = she is still in there. If you had read my words correctly I wrote “which they had done well” = past tense. Its months into the show now so I am correct. However she is STILL in and thats because Dex was able to stay in and pick one and it was obvious she would pick Sophie. That’s the BB plan and thats this week. There is a hell of a lot you are not seeing. LOA I never said who BB wants to win – just in case you imagined that.

  8. TG on August 16, 2013 at 1:54 pm

Funny how this piece of anti-Sam propaganda appears on day of eviction! I have long thought that BB have done their darn best to promote Dexter and Gina as favourites though they have a lot of flaws. Sam is the biggest competition to these two so suddenly a “landlord” (what a reliable source … NOT!) appears on the day of eviction and says Sam is a bad one. NOONE can hide their personality traits for so many weeks. Sam is a decent lad , and the only one in there remaining who can pull up someone as sly as Dexter because he is intelligent.

  9. TG on August 16, 2013 at 1:56 pm

I just hope people will go along with their gut instincts instead of being led by garbage press. These types of papers also printed that Freddie Starr ate a hamster but it was not true! Publicists for Gina and Dexter may have orchestrated this piece of propaganda and unfortunately many young viewers fall for it.

  10. Lara Williams on August 16, 2013 at 3:16 pm

I love Sam, he’s great either him, Sophie or the twins to win!!

  11. John watts on August 16, 2013 at 5:06 pm

I think Sam showed his true colours last nite. Last night he was heard to say after a house mate said that they thought Sam could win. Sama reply was, I know.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He sounded soo arrogant and so I hope he goes tonight.
I think dexter should win as he has been the most interesting house mate.

  12. granny di on August 16, 2013 at 6:29 pm

Never believe what you read in newspapers, especially The Daily Star. Believe what you see with your own eyes and hear with your own ears. That is why I say that Sam is not the sweet lad I thought he was. He showed his true colours when Dexter won immunity. Not a good role model for the deaf and not worthy to make the final in my opinion. Very disappointed in him.

  13. Atlanta on August 16, 2013 at 7:52 pm

I love Sam he seems like the only one on that show who seems very genuine. This landlord is a horrible person for saying that when he can’t explain it. Also I think it’s good that Sam is arguing with dexter because ever since Callum left its seems that dexter is moving on to his best mate in the house Callum and what u said mark is wrong because no one would fake being deaf because that would be a new kind of low n he n his family have all said that he doesn’t have to look at the person to hear them if they are speaking loud and clearly like Callum did when he was still in the house. Plus it’s very funny how this news story came out the same day if eviction. I want Sam to win!!!!!!! Also Sophie to leave tonight I absolutely hate her!!!!!!!

  14. PEDRO on August 16, 2013 at 9:05 pm

    re TG

    get a life

if Freddie Starr had stuck to eating hamsters he well well have stayed out of more serious stories in the press

  15. Niamh on August 16, 2013 at 9:25 pm

It’s funny how this story has only come to light now isnt it?! We’ve been watching him 24/7 for 2mths straight now, i know my minds made up now. I think he seems genuine tbh. If he was acting he would’ve kept his mouth shut to dexter and played the nice guy but he didn’t he spoke his mind. Out of all of them he’s the most genuine.

  16. geoff green on August 17, 2013 at 9:57 pm

I’m sorry but this is awful about him being a role model for deaf people. He’s 23 and can’t read properly which is essential for everyone, more so if you’re deaf. I’m disabled and if I was living with a group of people, I wouldn’t wait 7 weeks to inform them on how they need to be around my disability. Letting people make mistakes for so long is quite selfish and not helping the cause for deaf people. Sleeping all the time shows laziness. He seems to be using his disability as leverage in the show. I’m just glad he isn’t representing my disability.

    1. MickL on August 20, 2013 at 8:02 am

Totally agree with you mate. The whole thing was a fix. Sam was nowhere to be seen for 7 weeks, then all of a sudden he decides to start harping on about “doing it for deaf kids” – please!! The guy was a nasty and crude bully! Dexter was obviously the winner, but BB fixed it for ‘the nice guy’ to win, as they didn’t want to look bad for allowing Dexter – the true winner – to claim the title. Be prepared for your viewing figures to slump even further BB!!

  17. Amanda Edwards on August 19, 2013 at 12:22 am

Never believe whats in the papers especially the daily star.I love Sam and am disgusted with people on here saying he is not a role modek for the deaf.I think he is very brave for being in BB. Dexter,Gina and Charlie should go next leaving the twins and Sam.Sam to winLandlird indeed Its pathectic nonsense.

Never believe whats in the papers especially the daily star….I don’t believe what is written here….it looks as if someone has a grudge to bare and people must of provoked him to respond as it a known fact people can be very ignorant where it comes to disabilities….its impossible to hide your true colours all this time there would of been at least a glimmer of this BS if he was this what this story is saying about him so its obviously not TRUE what a load of nonsense he an inspiration for people with hearing disabilities very strange this has come about now he in the final….stop being childish and jealous also very pathetic and leave Sam alone i would have round for a drink ….team Sam to win

I don’t believe this article is real. Why after weeks of Sam being in the house being himself, a landlord comes forward? This article states not just a personal hate towards Sam but to try and knock his fans off voting for him but see what happens when people produce false accusations like this, he came out a winner.

  21. Charles on August 27, 2013 at 7:11 am

This was a nasty vicious post designed to try and wreck a local lad’s chances of winning Big Brother. It was posted on the day of the last eviction when as we now know Sam came very close to being evicted. If he had been then it would have been this landlord’s rant that tipped him over and lost it for him. What a way for a publican to treat a local guy who’s in with a chance! It’s hardly unusual for young guys to sometimes overstep the mark in their local boozer is it? Did Mr Davies try a quiet word with him first? Or just act Mr Tough Guy and throw him out? Shame on you mister, I think a lot will be boycotting your establishment from now on………

  22. clare on September 5, 2013 at 11:23 am

I don’t believe this article is real. Why after weeks of Sam being in the house being himself, and you could not be like that for 3 mounths,a landlord comes forward? This article states not just a personal hate towards Sam but to try and knock his fans off but see what happens when people produce false accusations like this, he came out a winner and I LOVE SAM WAS THE MOST GENUINE HOUSE MATE!!
