Dexter Koh has been saved from the first public vote on Friday due to receiving the least number of public votes thus far.
Michael (A.K.A The People’s Puppet) announced to the house this evening that he was choosing to save Dexter from the first public vote on Friday, but little do the housemates know, their fate was sealed by you, the viewing public.
During this evening’s highlight’s show, we went live to the house once again this week in which the housemates were gathered to see who would be saved from this Friday’s first public vote.
The housemates had to give their own individual pleas to Michael stating why they should be spared from being up for the first eviction. They were then under the impression that Michael had the power to save one of the nominated housemates (Gina Rio, Dexter Koh, Sallie Axl) based on the plea’s, however, their fate was decided on by the voting public.
Dexter: “I should be saved as I have always had a lot of time for you and to be honest, sorry Dan, I wrote that thing [the suggestion in today’s task]. I wanted to stick up for Michael as you was out of order”.
Gina: “Michael only you know what you want to do. I have been 100% honest with you and you should respect that”.
Sallie: “I should be saved as I’m hard work, loads of grief, and I’ll eat all your food, but thank you”.
It was then revealed that Dexter will be spared this this week’s first eviction on Friday.
On Monday evening, Michael cast the first set of nominations in which he nominated Gina, Dexter and Sallie based on reasons given by the viewing public. However, the housemates were unaware that for the first time in Big Brother history the nominations were decided on by the public.
Gina was nominated as she does nothing around the house, Dexter was put up for eviction as he tends to talk about himself too much and Sallie was nominated as she has to be the centre of attention all the time.
A feisty character is being voted out early on once again, and that’s what the producers get for swapping back to Vote to Evict as the public are going to vote for people they don’t like and for those who may be a tad on the annoying and loud side. Also, a female will be the first out once again, with Big Brother 14 not managing to break the curse of a female out first – and this year we have the best bunch of female’s we’ve ever had. If anything the males are the weaker side this year.
Voting lines are set to re-open during this evening’s episode of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side with Emma Willis.
The first eviction will take place on Friday 21 June at 9pm on Channel 5/HD.
