Big Brother bosses, desperate to retain Davina McCall as their Big Brother presenter have awarded her a pay rise of more than £40,000 per week.

For last years series of Channel 4’s biggest TV show, Davina was paid a handsome £45,000 a week, but this figure will almost double to £85,000 this year, leaving her with just over £1 Million for the whole series.

An insider revealed to The People newspaper:

“They think she’s an amazing asset. It’s a number one priority that Davina is kept happy. They know it would be a disaster if she went elsewhere. Without Davina, BB wouldn’t be the same.”
