Big Brother: “Dangerous Games”
It seems everyone’s lining up to criticise Endemol for their management of this year’s Big Brother. Like I said in an earlier post, psychologists are all creeping out of the woodwork to declare war on what a few years ago they thought was a daring psychological/sociological experiment.
But it’s just getting laughable now. The latest claim is that Big Brother’s prison task is a dangerous mind game and might end up in torture - literally torture - for the housemates:
One expert claims the jail task is a copy of a notorious 1971 psychological experiment in the US.
In it, 24 students became “guards� or “prisoners� — and the prisoners ended up being TORTURED.
Sociology prof Rob Green said: “Things could get out of hand. This very dangerous stunt could cause lasting psychological harm.�
Pleeease wise up, people! Have you ever heard such rubbish? After the amount of flack BB producers have taken recently, do you think they’d allow housemates to physically and mentally torture each other?
Tellingly, Professor Green spares us the details of how he thinks the latest task might erupt into massive Human Rights violations for the housemates. My suspicion? He’s just jumping on the “Kick Endemol” bandwagon.

I really think that is an extreme POV. Anyone seen a film called Das Experiment? If not, watch it, it’s a violent film showing how power can go to people’s heads and is a million miles from what could have happened on Big Brother
The psychologists are not crawling out of the wood work, they were voicing their concerns when the programme started. The general public just didnt want to listen.As you were all having too much fun.
PS does anyone know anything about Stephen John Flett the chartered psychologist on the Programme. I cannot find any info about this man at all.

Some valid points have been made about Big Brother and their lack of concern about the housemates. But you can’t honestly be saying that the latest prison task is actually dangerous to anyone. The experiment cited by the professor above is nothing like the Big brother task and I think he is trying to grab some publicity and probably money by slating Endemol in this way.
I am an open minded person, and can accept criticisms when they are justified.However the constant stream of people stepping up to criticise Endemol over silly things is weakening any valid concerns and issues that people may have with the Big Brother process.
If a point is strong it will overide the “silly things “as you put it. The mental health issues and racism involved in this current programme will not be weakened by anyone’s additional comments, they stand alone and will be investigated in their own right.
so what if people make money out of slagging endemol off. Thats how they a massed a fortune. Psychologistare just highlighting how poor the psychological research is on the programme. The screening process for Big brother consist of a questionnaire on introvertism and extrovertism and 45 minute chat. So sociologist and psychologisthave a right to be concerned about people’s reactions to any task on the programme. As no-one on Big brother knows enough about anyone’s psychological and psychiatric history to predict how they will react to anything the producers throw at them.
Endemol and the press always state people who go on Big brother can expect negative publicity etc . Well endemol have been doing this programme for seven years did they expect they would remain untouched for seven years. Did they not think their bullying , prejudiced , facist and RACIST tactics would come under scrutinity eventually.
I dont watch big brother as all I can see is a homegenous group of white people, who seem to be treated well and have their dignity, playing various games in the name of pseudo psychology, however someone still react negatively.Makosi seem to be the most confident person on big brother to date, however she now thinks of comitting suicide everyday. Did you think that would happen?
Psychological games should never be played on people you have no screened properly no matter how trivial they look to the layman.
I do not feel sorry for the Endemol Bullies and racists, even if people are now criticising and ‘overeacting’ and scrutinise everything they do.
For if people had done this in the first place you wouldnt have the likes of Shabbaz on the programme
Psychologists do have to speak out against any programme that has not screened contestants in a robust or suitable way, who are put through psychological tasks.Thats their professional duty.
PS it was me who was locked in a bedroom, who was sharing a bed with a man who repeatedly wanting to kill himself and was crying himself to sleep.
It was me who saw other bigoted housmates cajoule this man to pull down his pants so the rest of them could have a laugh.
It was me who walked out of the house in the same clothes I came in with, denied my own toiletries underwear and clothes. I walked ou wearing paper underwear, while the other housemates swapped clothes with each other as they all had suitcases, laughing and joking. It was me who was kept in a locked bedroom for hours and denied a simple drink of water in the diary room, while the BB producers tried to interrogate me for half an hour even though I have asthma.
BB told the world I didnt wash, cheated and had to be removed from the house. Simply for speaking out for what I had seen.
So you are asking the wrong person to see it from endemol’s point of view. I can never see it from their point of view as I can never be so vile, twisted or hateful all for the sake of money and something called light ENTERTAINMENT.
Endemol deserve all they get, as trivial as you think the critcism is. It doesnt come close to how the endemol treated me , jonathan and shabbaz etc. when one of the endemol team is threatening to commmit suicide as Shabbaz and makosi have done , then the negagtive treatment may come pretty close.
One thing I must point ot to all the viewing public. Psychologists and sociologists have codes of practice ( unlike endemol) they have to adhere to and they are duty bound to speak out against anything that breaks those codes.The motivation is not MONEY. Leave it to the experts as they are the ones who have to pick up the pieces when it goes wrong. Shabbaz is still unstable and sucidal, the man hanever been able to work in his life and is Makosi suicidal from LAST YEAR, they have to turn to the experts as the public cant help them, as the public is out of their depth.
The psychologists, sociologists,legal service, police etc have the expertise and information the public do not have. e.g contracts, screening documentation,contestant statements, contestants medical and psychiatric history unbroadcast footage etc.
Remember Endemol treat the public like mushrooms. “Feed on manure and kept in the dark”.

I don’t watch Big Brother this year, so cannot comment on most of the issues raised above, however I think that Makosi is a bad example of someone ruined by the Big Brother experiment.
Makosi went into that house and thought that she could achieve fame and fortune by being manipulating, deceiving and overtly sexual.
While people may like to watch this behaviour on their TV screens, they will not like the person acting in this way.
Makosi tried to play the game, and she came off worst. Makosi came across in the show as a manipulating liar, she thought she could handle the public backlash….she couldn’t. I don’t see how Endemol are at fault there.
How do you know all this did you edit the footage. How did you know she was manipulating people. As Big Brother doesnt record everything and there are not everything is broadcast.The live feed is on delay . How do you know all this information about makosi. You only know what you’ve been told.
Immogen is also overtly sexual, manipulates and deceives. I know she wont be getting a public “blacklash”. The public love her. So what were the the public lashing out to, what did makosi do that was the worse than immogen apart from having black skin.
I suggest you see all the Big Brother footage of Makosi before you comment on what a group of white producers have shown concerning her behaviour.
This is coming from the black woman who BB stated that didnt wash or want to only threatened to leave their poxy house. The only fault I can ay at Makosi door was she didnt ask forher unedited footage, documentation and logs over conversations.
Last week the Daily Star printed a Uturn story about me. Today the Sun have been forced to print a poxy little letter from me after I complained about my coverage in the Big Brother House to the Press Complaints Commission. I have on going complaints with the police and various regulatory bodies. My unbroadcast footage (what I have said) and documentation has also be used for mental health organisations to argue their point about laxity and exploitation in Big Brother.
I was only able to do this after going on hungerstrike for 15.5 days to get footage , documentation and material from Endemol, as they initially refused to send it. The public is quick to castigate any black person who they seem to think as done wrong. However I dont see you jumping up and down if wrong doing has been done to a black person. As racism doesnt exist.
I seem to remember the Star and Sun initially calling me a manipulating liar. I was also called a stinking liar so I go one better than Makosi. Its amazing how easy those words trip of the tongue when describing blacks.
Shabbaz was called an irritating bully whinger, when in fact he had a mental illness. I would prefer if people like you johnny cut the crap and call me a makosi and couple of arrogant nig-nogs or whatever word comes to mind . It is better than working yourself up into a frenzy of what you percieve we have done to offend the populus.

(I cant even comment on this one) and Lea (very old, £34,000 of plastic surgey, with a 10 year old son, who has the biggest false breasts in England owned a sex shop and has done pornflicks ) have all stripped off in and since they have come out of the BB house so wheres the backlash or should I say BLACKLASH. If they had all been black with how they behaved in the house they would have been not only removed from the Big brother house , but they would have been removed from the country.
If you want to believe endemol are pure and innocent you can, believe on , you can also believe Nick Griffin is my husband and Shabbaz Choudray is our secret love child.

To start an argument when you do not even know the definition of the words you arguing about demonstrates total ignorance or arrogance. As for your claims about what went on in the Big Brother house, you know this due to the inside information you think you have in disturbed mind.

When endemol decide to hire at least one black or asian person to work on big Brother ( not IRISH, scottish, white american) have this conversation with me then. All contestants enter Big brother of their own free will, but the leaving is very different.
When Richard and mikey leave the house, they might want to stroll into compton, harlem or Saltley, handsworth , lozells in birmingham saying mary russell said “we are racial minorities accept us brothers”. I will gladly be there to watch this event. You are also invited Mary Rusell.
When you are a victim of racism or bullying or member of your family is, remember what you have written and then forget it, and get over it.

Do you not remember Nadia, a Portuguese transvestite who won Big Brother a few years ago? You can not get any more diverse than that, or does that not count because she is not black and the only way you can cling to your argument that the reason you were not liked was because of your colour not because of the fact that you are unbearable and rude? Racism does not just include colour, perhaps it is you who should look up the definition of racism
You knew what Big Brother was like and decided that you wanted to be famous at any cost, even if it cost you your pride (which I would assume it has as you must be embarrassed by your behaviour) and now you are still trying your best to stay in the limelight by causing controversy.

do you remember when you told Shahbaz not to speak on behalf of near easterners and homosexuals in case he misrepresented them? Perhaps you would be well advised to take a step back and read what you have written. Try to read it without being upset or angry.
It is ridiculous to accuse people of being racist just because they are white, just as it is ridiculous to assume that they have read Mein Kampf. Most racists probably couldn’t understand anything remotely intelligent, no matter how mentally unstable or evil it may be.
Please don’t take this the wrong way, but having read what you have written, I think that you could well be facing accusations of racialism yourself. I suggest that you take this into consideration not just in your future posts, but in life in general. Have you considered the possibility that you might be racist? If you live in denial, you are bound to be unhappy. If you are a racist, you deserve to be ignored. If the majority of white people were racist, you and I would not be allowed to live in this continent, let alone country. Let’s try amd be grateful for the opportunities we have been given, and stop persecuting our friends who have given us these chances.
Please remember that every time someone generalises about whites being racist, it gives the BNP and other such parties ammunition in their recruitment drive and another person might read this and end up voting for them. That would not be good for anyone.

Please take into account that 95% of the British population is ethnically British and white. In actuality, minorities have been over represented in this series. There have still been many complaints from minority viewers. The majority of the population has not been upset by this. In the forums, more people were upset by the vicious nature of the unfounded complaints which screamed racism.
