DAY 16

10:49am – Yesterday the housemates ordered and had their first luxury food shopping delivered. However, they had over spent by £105 and as stated in the Welcome Pack, the items at the bottom of the list were removed, to meet their budget. These included the majority of Mohamed’s halal food and he decides to call a meeting. Some of the housemates are in the bedroom and Lisa comments about Mohamed’s situation saying, “If that was me I’d go ballistic.” Kathreya defends Rex taking charge of the shopping, saying that when something is done for the group it can backfire and that who ever did it would make mistakes.. Mario joins the conversation adding, “It’s not Rex it’s the focus is on Mohamed. It’s despicable.” Referring to the meeting, Mario comments: “Meetings like that I’ll just have to facilitate…. Rex has got to listen. I’m sorry I manage people for a living. I manage 500 people a day. It’s not a restaurant we’re running, it’s a family, and every ones got equal rights.”

1:16pm – The housemates are in the luxury bedroom. Mohamed has called a meeting to discuss the food situation and the fact his halal food was left of. He goes on to add that he feels left out of the group when they have dinner together. Jennifer suggests, as she is the only vegetarian, he can join her in meals. Rex also adds that when he is cooking the group’s meat it never touches anything else, so Mohamed could have their accompaniments with his meat. The conversations moves on to how the group undertook the shopping list and Dale says, “The shopping list was a piss take.” Rex disagrees and thinks it was done well. Lisa adds: “Who ever does it with everyone it is too much, for the list.” Mario chips in saying: “Everyone is entitled to their say. It’s healthy to talk like this”. Michael then brings up a pillow fight some of the housemates had in the night, which kept him awake and ends the group discussion.

2:34pm – Luke and Rebecca are in the Diary Room. Luke says to Big Brother that the house meetings are ‘an utter waste of time’. Luke and Rebecca have three top tips to survive. “Pretend you are interested when you really don’t give a monkey” Luke says, as both him and Rebecca rest their chins on their hands and fake interested looks to Big Brother. Luke goes on to demonstrate that saying ‘yes, I agree’ accompanied by polite clapping is tip two. Finally they demonstrate tip three with cheering more clapping and lots of ‘well dones’.

Luke says to Big Brother that they want to clarify they are N-O-T a couple and that their fellow housemates seem to think they are. He blames Kathreya and her match-making. Luke turns to Rebecca and says, “We’re not a couple Big Brother. Rebecca used to be everything I hate, but now she’s a good friend.” To which Rebecca teases, “Luke I love you.” A groaning Luke adds, “It started as friends who discussed a serious hatred for each other….we could never become a couple in the physical sense we maybe a couple in each others heads but who knows…I’m not sexually attracted to this woman.”

Rebecca replies, “I’m sure there are girls out there attracted to me.” Luke responds, “I’m a Justin Timberlake look-a-like, who wouldn’t be”. “More like a Mr Muscle from that ad,” says Rebecca.

3:16pm – Mario and Lisa are in the garden talking about the ‘couples’ in the house. Dale, Jennifer, Sylvia and Dennis are in the luxury bedroom. Sylvia confides to them that she has stashed snack food away, including cookies and brings it out to share with them. Michael comes into the bedroom for a nap and asks Sylvia if she is going to let him sleep, unlike the previous night. Sylvia takes him to task on this saying: “I’m not the only one. Young people want to have fun.” Sylvia continues to rant about what Michael said till Dale leaves the room and Luke says, “Is that tumbleweed”. Michael says, “You were definitely the loudest last night, Dennis was quiet last night”. Some of he other housemates walk in and Sylvia replies, “I’m not going to be quiet this is my house too.” Rachel goes over to Michael and takes him to the other bedroom for a quieter nap. Sylvia storms out of the luxury bedroom looking like she is about to cry.

4:32pm – Dennis, Sylvia, Rebecca, Darnell and Dale are in the luxury bedroom talking about Sylvia’s argument with Michael. Dennis says, “The bores are taking over the place”, to which they all agree and Darnell adds, “I’ve been saying that since day one.”

8:01pm – Most of the housemates are in the living area. Crowd noises are being played into the house and they speculate about a surprise eviction.

Michael is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother about his ‘argument’ with Sylvia. “I wondered why I even bought it up, as it ended up being everyone will be taking sides and I’ll be the bad guy….There’ll be five different stories to it.

“There’s no way we’ve been a group. We’ve never been a group. There are subgroups, wee people in groups and people saying that not in groups. Dale and Jen. Mario and Lisa. Luke and Bex. Luke will kill me. Kat is just a fun loving person and of course there is Rex, the big arrogant chef. It’s just been dead bitty and bickery this week.”

Jen and Dale are hugging in the living area. Dale is upset about the thought of leaving. Jen takes him into the luxury bathroom where Dale cries. Jennifer comforts him saying, “You don’t seem unpopular to me”. Dennis joins them and tries to assure Dale saying: “Don’t worry”. But Dale replies, “You have no idea how many people hated me at school”.

10.29pm – New housemate Stuart arrives and is greeted enthusiastically by all. Stuart tells the housemates he arrived on a bike and that being in the house is ‘mad, it’s just mad’. Lisa asks him if he exercises or smokes. Stuart says he exercises but doesn’t smoke. He is then asked about drinking and he admits to being a lightweight. Stuart also confirms he’s 25, with a little girl but clarifies he’s not with the mother. Sylvia, Dennis and Rebecca dance around the house saying, “We’ve got a man, we’ve got a man”.

11.01pm – New housemate Stuart has been in the house for 31mins. Most of the housemates are in the living area and Stuart says, “Everyone seems overly sensitive”. Dale agrees, “You can’t say anything”.

Jennifer and Sylvia are on the other side of the living area talking about Stuart. Sylvia says: “I’m going to be in trouble…I’m not going to be able to help myself.”

11:14pm – Jennifer is in the Diary Room telling Big Brother that she is ‘really pleased’ to have a ‘fresh new face’ in the house. Jennifer says, “Straight away we have something in common, we both are single parents we a daughter and so we’ll have things to chat about and he seems like a really nice genuine person, nice to get to know and he adds something new to the group. Everyone is getting a little too comfortable it’s geniune…… and it’s nice to have something new to stir up the dynamics and change things around. Already the males feel threatened and Dale’s face was a picture…..I don’t know that, I’m presuming but body language says a lot they have all got defensive… Not too much of a rival and now he’s (Dale) thinking oh god I’ve got competition”. Jennifer confirms that Sylvia is very attracted to him and to ‘watch this space’.

11:40pm – Dale, Mohamed, Rex and Rebecca are at the smoking area talking about new housemate Stuart. Dale says the girls were ‘dripping wet’ when Stuart walked in. Rex thinks Stuart is one of the housemate’s exes and he is part of a task. Dale replies: “Don’t start poisoning my mind.” Sylvia joins them and Rex says that Jennifer and Dennis are also part of the task and that Stuart has to get with Jennifer. Sylvia says, “Don’t say that in front of Dale.” Mohamed says to her, “How can you fancy him?” Sylvia replies, “He is not ugly.”

1.47am – Sylvia and Stuart share a bath and she warns Stuart to watch out for Rex and Mohamed. Some of the housemates are on the sofas and Kathreya says, “I’m very worried about Sylvia”. Rex replies, “I think that is her boyfriend.”

Big Brother calls Stuart to the Diary Room and asks him about how he feels being in the house. Stuart says, “Top to be here but everyone seems down and really paranoid. They all want to fill me in on the bitching. I thought I’d come here and it would be happy and it’ll be hard to chat. Rex and Mohamed seem unbelievably paranoid….they’ll have a worse night, thinking about stuff and I’ll wind them up on my first day”.

3.11am – Sylvia and Stuart are in bed together and Sylvia says, “Don’t be scared”. Stuart is trying to get some sleep but Sylvia persists, saying, “Don’t blank me”. Stuart admits to being tired and Sylvia tries to hug him before going back to her own bed.
