Day 59
9.44am: Last night Lisa left the garden through a fire exit, but returned to the house 20 minutes later. Yesterday, Luke was the seventh housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house. Following Luke’s eviction, Rex’s girlfriend Nicole entered the house as one of Big Brother’s Ever-Changing Special Prizes. Nicole is now a Big Brother housemate and is eligible to win.

In the bedroom, Sara tells Lisa that she would have been upset if Lisa would have left the house without saying goodbye to her. Lisa comments that her attempts to escape the Big Brother house stem from her “mad and whacky” personality.

11.13am: In the garden, Dale and Stuart talk about Rex’s over-valuation into how attractive his girlfriend Nicole actually is. This leads Stuart to confess he is “gutted” that he doesn’t even have a girlfriend and that Rex should consider himself lucky. Rex joins in the conversation with Stuart and Dale. Dale assures him that he has no need to get jealous if any of the guys talk to Nicole in the house.

12.20pm: Today housemates will compete to decide a new Head of House, and to determine who will live in heaven and who will live in hell. Big Brother calls Stuart to the Diary Room. Some of the group joke that he probably has a secret task. In the Diary Room, Stuart is told that the task to compete for the groups new Head of House is to recite the alphabet backwards. Stuart starts the task and fails at his first attempt. He has to start again. He fails his second attempt and reacts “oh no……..I’m supposed to be clever!” He starts again and manages to complete the task. He sulks and is disappointed in himself as he leaves the Diary Room. As he enters the house, he announces to the group, “I ain’t going to heaven!”

Rex discreetly tells Nicole whether she thinks they should both deliberately fail the task so they can be together on the hell side of the house. They agree that this would be the best tactic to ensure they are together.

1.04pm: So far, Stuart and Sara have taken their turns to compete in this week’s Head of House challenge. Stuart took 4 minutes and 52 seconds to recite the alphabet backwards. Sara took 4 minutes and 43 seconds. Rex is in the Diary Room reciting the alphabet backwards. He talks slowly and clearly. In the living room, Stuart tells the other’s that seeing Rex and Nicole be affectionate together makes him feel slightly lonely. Kat says that he should hug more of his fellow housemates.

Back in the Diary Room, Rex completes reciting the alphabet backwards. He then smugly tells Big Brother that he took “as long as possible” for a reason.

1.28pm: Housemates have been competing in this week’s Head of House challenge for 1 hour and 12 minutes. Rex completed the challenge in 2 minutes 24 seconds. Rachel is leading with a time of 1 minute and 5 seconds. Nicole is next to take the challenge. She attempts to recite the alphabet backwards. She ponders for a few seconds then begins “x, y, w” …

9 minutes later… Nicole completes reciting the alphabet backwards. Upon completion she reacts “finally………I’m so awful!”.

2.55pm: As a punishment for jumping the divide between heaven and hell last night, Big Brother has not delivered Nicole’s suitcase. At the house divide in the living room, Nicole tells Rex that she brought a lot of clothes to wear in the Big Brother house. Rex begins to question who paid for the clothes she brought. Nicole tells him that she paid for them which leads Rex to ask her where she got the money from as she is a student. Nicole becomes irked by this and turns away from him and begins talking to Kat. Rex gets annoyed by this and says , “Oi…..why are you ignoring me?”. Nicole tells Rex to not try and make her look like an “idiot”. Rex apologises. Nicole takes this in but turns back around to continue talking to Kat. Rex gets up and goes to lie down on the sofas.

4.48pm: In the living room, Dale jokes with Rex that all Rex has wanted since being in the house was to see his girlfriend and now he has it. All Dale wants is a football and he hasn’t been given one. In the luxury bedroom, Stuart sits alone on his bed staring at photos of his young daughter. He gets upset and holds his head in his hands.

5.35pm: All of the housemates have been gathered at the sofas for the results of the Head of House alphabet task. Big Brother announces that the three housemates with the slowest time in the task will be housemates from hell and all the rest will be heavenly housemates. Mikey, Nicole and Kat have the slowest times and will live in hell. Rex gets annoyed with this and kicks the house divide. He mutters to himself, “Oh for f*cks sake!”
Rachel is announced as the new Head of House. The group cheer and congratulate her on this. She is called to the Diary Room and is given her Head of House rosette.

Rex tells Nicole that he believes Big Brother is deliberately trying to keep them apart. Rex gets annoyed that Nicole isn’t more upset at being separated from Rex for the week. Rex is very affectionate, but Nicole is more stand-offish. Rex reiterates how annoyed he is but Nicole just answers, “Alright, whatever”.

Rex is in the Diary Room. He asks Big Brother if he can sacrifice his suitcase to be in hell with Nicole. He is denied this request. Rex says that separation from her was the worst thing that could have happened. He admits that maybe he should have kept his mouth shut in regards to constantly talking about Nicole. He thinks there is a possibility he may lose his girlfriend “on national TV………and that f*cking sucks!”

8.29pm: To celebrate the heavenly housemates new status, Big Brother has provided them with a hamper containing an A to Z of food and booze, from artichoke hearts, bread, cheese and doughnuts to extra hot chillies, yoghurt and a zucchini. Housemates from hell have been given alphabet spaghetti shapes.

Nicole and Rex are in the garden. Nicole cries on Rex’s shoulder. She says she just wants her suitcase and she wants to go home. Rex comforts her. Nicole complains that she wants her make-up and she hates looking “like sh*t”.

At the dining table the group laugh as Mikey has managed to drop the hamper of alphabet spaghetti all over the living room floor. Michael himself is in hysterics at this. Stuart jokes that they should get Nicole to clean it up.
In the garden, Nicole and Rex overhear this comment. Mohamed comes out and Rex questions him as to who said it. Mohamed immediately tells him Dale said it. Rex responds “lovely guy……not!”

9.14pm: In the living room, the heavenly housemates are told they will have musical entertainment in the luxury bedroom. As they walk through the garden, Rex quickly questions Dale about the comment he made. Dale is clueless as to what he is supposed to have said. Rex says they will discuss it later. Rex tells Nicole that he thinks he will be evicted this week as he is likely to annoy people even more now that Nicole is in the house.

9.33pm: Nicole and Rex are in the Diary Room. They express how upset they are. They request Nicole’s suitcase. Nicole starts to cry while Rex explains the situation. In the living room, Lisa tells Michael that Nicole is the kind of girl that is used to getting everything she wants. Michael comments that Rex is still “a miserable b*stard” even though Nicole is in the house.

Back in the Diary Room, Nicole tells Big Brother that she can’t “be herself” without her clothes. She says that not having her suitcase in the house is harder than living over the divide away from Rex. Rex attempts to bargain with Big Brother but is denied.

11.43pm: In the Diary Room, Stuart tells Big Brother that he was feeling low earlier, but is feeling a lot better now. He has been thinking of his daughter a lot and really misses her. He also mentions that seeing Rex and Nicole together has made him feel “gutted” that he doesn’t have a girlfriend to comfort him. He jokes that although he is close to Dale, he won’t ask him for a cuddle. He predicts that the next week in heaven will be a good one.

12.57am: Heavenly housemates Darnell and Sara are in the luxury bedroom. Sara comments to Darnell in the that he has become her “top friend” in the House. Darnell gets embarrassed by this.

In the living room, Rex tells Nicole that he wanted to make her proud of him while he was in the house without her. He says he doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about him and he went out of his way to get people to dislike him. He jokes with Nicole that his behaviour might get Nicole to dislike him also. She responds, “Of course not”.
