Big Brother Highlights Show: Dennis Is Removed & Sylvia Is Evicted!

DAY 231:14pm – Following last night’s argument where Dennis spat in Mohamed’s face, Dennis is called to the Diary Room by Big Brother. Dennis confirms that he remembers the incident and says “I really regret this incident”. Big Brother says: “Big Brother is in no doubt Dennis, that spitting in another housemate’s face is an act of aggression and therefore unacceptable behaviour. Big Brother is therefore left with no choice but to remove you from the Big Brother house. Do you have anything to say before you leave?” Dennis replies “I’m just really sorry and so disappointed in myself. I’m really sorry”. Dennis leaves the Big Brother house.

1:42pm – Mario is reading a laminate to the other housemates about Dennis’s removal. They are told the eviction will still go ahead. Jennifer shouts “yeah well let’s hope justice is served. Let’s hope Mohamed goes!” Some of the housemates start arguing again and Dale is up close to Mohamed’s face when he gets called to the Diary Room. Big Brother tells Dale to take a moment to calm down. Dale says Mohamed is a “f**king little weed” but when Big Brother asks Dale is he would have done anything differently the night before he says he could have been calmer in the way he spoke. Big Brother tells Dale that his behaviour was deemed aggressive. Dale concedes that if he’d been the one spat on, he would have wanted the person responsible to be removed.

2:47pm – Rex and Rebecca are talking in the garden. Rex says that Jennifer had actually been crying before the argument “because Stuart and Dale won’t leave her alone” and that the painting smudge “was just a reason for it all to go off”. Rex says that Rebecca didn’t need to be involved, and suggests that if she hadn’t stood up in the middle of Dale and Mohamed, Dennis would probably still be there. “Don’t even try that one Rex” says Rebecca. Mohamed is in the Diary Room where he is happy and says “justice has been served”. In the bedroom Jennifer is telling Darnell she doesn’t think she can trust him after how he acted the night before. She says she felt intimidated. Darnell says he had to stand up for a man who was crying because he’d been spat on. “You call everyone filthy and vile, when the only filthy, vile acts I’ve seen is people in your group doing them. It’s ok for Alexandra to get kicked out, it’s ok that you want me to get kicked out, but oh Dennis…it’s ridiculous… from now on in the house make sure there’s a damn good reason before you say something about somebody, or you don’t like somebody. ”

3:11pm – Jennifer is called to the Diary Room. Big Brother tells her that Big Brother wants to help them draw a line under the argument. Jennifer says she understands but that she wants to let people know how she feels. She says that perhaps Dale was a bit “hot-headed” and that she will speak to Rex, Mohamed and Darnell about the argument. She goes to the kitchen where Darnell says he’s sorry he upset her the night before. They hug.

3:21pm – In the Diary Room, Darnell says to Big Brother that he regrets getting involved, and will do “whatever it takes” to not have such an incident in the house again. Jennifer is in the bedroom talking to Mohamed. Jennifer says what Dennis did was “disgusting” and “out of order” but that he did “what came natural”. She adds that she doesn’t want to “walk around with resentment”, and she and Mohamed hug.

5:05pm – Stuart is in the Diary Room. He concedes that he possibly made the situation worse during the argument but says he was “trying to diffuse the situation”. Big Brother says that Rex had apologised to Jennifer and then Stuart and Dale made Rex apologise again, and then told him off for doing that. “Yeah, at first I didn’t realise he had apologised, that is my fault. I should have gone and spoken to him instead of screaming.”

5:31pm – Dale is in the Diary Room. Big Brother asks Dale “can you see how some of your behaviour last night might have appeared to people watching as aggressive?”. Dale replies: “yeah, I suppose so, to some people yeah”. He continues “I’d just like to say sorry if I have escalated things in anyway. It wasn’t my intentions, so I’m sorry”.

5:42pm – Mohamed and Dale are talking in the bedroom about the argument. Dale says that when Mohamed walked over to him “it looked like provocation”, but that no one condones what Dennis did. They both say they are willing to draw a line under the incident.

5:58pm – Mario, Luke and Mikey are talking in the garden about the argument and Dennis’s removal. Luke says “this is better than any soap opera, stuff the soaps, watch this! This is real. It’s almost like there are massive storylines but this is a reality show”. Mohamed is in the Diary Room. Mohamed says he has spoken to the other housemates about the argument. Big Brother asks: “Do you now consider the matter closed Mohamed?” “Yep” says Mohamed. Big Brother asks: “So you do not want any further action taken?” “No” replies Mohamed. Big Brother says: “Big Brother now considers this matter closed”.

7:42pm – Jennifer and Stuart are thumb-wrestling at the dining table as Dale looks on. Rebecca and Darnell are in the Diary Room. They tell Big Brother they are trying to all be positive and are dressing up in pink. Darnell has put a pink streak in his hair. Rebecca says they have even convinced Rex to take part in the pink theme.

8:13pm – Jennifer, Sylvia and Dale are in the bedroom hugging. Sylvia says she loves them both and that she’s nervous about the eviction. Jennifer says “our group dwindles by the day”. Mario and Mikey are sitting on the sofas. Mario says he thinks two more “of the gang” will be nominated next week. He says that from listening to being in the bedroom with Darnell, Rex and Mohamed last night, he thinks they would nominate in a certain way. “So that’s them three, plus me and Lisa, that’s five”. Mikey agrees, and says he thought that some people had the previous night “quite liked the situation for various reasons”.

10:18pm – Sylvia has been evicted from the Big Brother house. The other housemates listen at the door to hear the crowd noise. Dale starts to cry and Mario hugs him. Darnell tells Mohamed “The way some of these people act, is like they are better than everyone, and the regular people don’t like that.”

11:04pm – Dale and Jennifer are in the luxury bedroom. Jennifer tells Dale he’s still got her and Rebecca and Luke. Rex and Kathreya are in the garden. Kathreya tells Rex that he can sometimes be a bit arrogant and can put people down without meaning to. “If you cut down a tiny bit of that you will be very, very nice guy. You are already a very nice guy, just a tiny bit of ego”. “Thanks Kat” replies Rex. Mohamed is in the Diary Room, where Big Brother asks how it feels to have survived the eviction. “It f**king feels great!” he shouts. “I feel fabulous, I feel great, on top of this world right now”.
