Big Brother winner and Tourettes sufferer Pete Bennett is currently considering ditching his music career (what music career I hear you say) and taking up stand up comedy instead.
According top the Daily Star Pete said: “I’m looking into becoming a comedian. I’m figuring it out that you just have to be yourself when you’re onstage.
“And people laugh at me anyway when I’m just being myself. I used to look up to Jim Carrey as a kid. I thought he could give some kind of hope to me, I think he’s a bit touretty.�

Pete is a lovely bloke, but doesnt have the life experience,general knowledge, quick witidness and acting ability to be a stand up comic. unless Pete’s audience are just girls under 18 this career option is a non-starter.
He also isnt very funny, people laugh when he says wxxxxxxs out of politeness and support for pete, not because its funny.
if this is all it took to make others laff, every stand up comedian would have a disability such as tourettes that would get “sympathy support laffs”. stand up is really a hard discipline and if you are sensitive like pete I dont see it working.
I dont think people are being particularly honest with pete about his actual ability, which is a shame cos his an OK guy.
looks like the music career is not going to happen if people are even directing him towards stand up comedy.
Pete said Jim Carey is “touretty”. But that is Jim Carey, Dawn french is a lady who is a bit chubby and makes me laugh, but anne widdicombe who is also a lady, who is a bit chubby , frankly has never stimulated my chuckle muscles.
Fings just dont work that way and considering pete had loads of exposure on BB and in many magazines since BB Has anyone heard him say anything memorably, amusing,funny etc. Can anyone remember an amusing anecdote or joke, you cant because it doesnt exist.
Perhaps the interview is the actual joke. Cos I cant believe he’s even thinking this way.

Pete doesnt have to give up his music career to pursue comedy.
Pete can combine music and comedy like the following artistes
weird Al Jakoveic- when he sung ” eat it” and “armish paradise” (I think thats how it’s spelt, no it aint spelt like that at all, but you know who I mean)
Benny hill- when he sung ernie
The goodies when they sung funky gibbon
Jasper Carrot - when he sung funky moped
Billie connolly when he sung in the Brownies
Michael crawford- when he sung any song by any songwriter.
There is a niche market here as we have lost the novelty comedy single. we dont have the likes of the barron nights any more, no Joe ” shut up a ya face” dolce, no ali -g singing julie.
So with clever marketing Pete can corner the market, he may even join forces with chico who brought us chico time and chico not this time and chico can you please step back in time.
I like chico really and couldnt see him working with Pete as pete’s background is a little too steamy for chico’s new audience. Chico too has been oprafied.
From what you’re suggesting, he should get in touch with Dr. Demento (where Weird Al Yankovic got his start) and put out some novelty tracks. I think it’s a great idea!
What music career exactly!?! He’s going to ditch his music career because no one is interested! We have seen what he is capable of- ‘Sugary Love’!! Enough said! Pete just isnt funny! He is a one-trick pony! A sad little boy lost! He needs to get his head out his ass! I hope I never see him on TV again!
Is this some kind of joke? He doesn’t even have a music career, he just releases them on Youtube where a hundred or so people watch them half a dozen times each.
Oh, and he gets his friend Richard to play them on some obscure radio station
The bloke has zero talent and the LAST thing he is is funny.
Is he going to spend the rest of his life “earning” money from people who feel sorry for him? What a phoney!
