Big Brother: Pete Bennett Apologises To Nikki Grahame
Pete Bennett has revealed to the Daily Star today how guilty he feels over his recent break up with fellow Big Brother star Nikki Grahame.
Pete reportedly said: “I’m really sorry if I hurt Nikki. It upsets me to think everyone thinks badly of me over this. I ended it because I didn’t want to hurt her more. I was just being honest.
“Nikki and I just aren’t compatible. I do love her to bits but I don’t think it could ever work.
“This is all spiralling out of control. I should have kept my mouth shut about our sex life. Everything got on top of me and the added problems with our relationship were stressing me out.
“I felt sick the night it ended and I was very emotional. It wasn’t an easy thing to do.
“I’m not a coward and I wouldn’t have ended our relationship over the phone by choice, but Nikki called and pretty much asked what was up.
“I’d like to stay friends. I haven’t heard from her, but I hope things can get better.�

i agree with cressida she seemed to take it quite well even though she was clearly distrought, it was really her mum and sister who were mouthing off, i thought it was quite a foolish move to make his relationship with cherry official only days after him and nikki had finished, despite all her problems inside i think she is just a messed up little girl in need of some real love, and pete realiosed he couldnt give her that.

What a load of rubbish some of you post! Pete dumped Nikki because she’s a whining, tantruming pain in the backside.
He’s well rid of the attention seeking monster. It’s about itme her family, who claim to love her, told her the truth about her self. She had a bad time in the past - well, whoopie-doo, so do thousands of people who manage to grow up into reasonable adults who don’t scream like 3 year olds in supermarkets when they can’t have all the sweeties they like. THe way her stupid mother carries on encourages her to be more and more loathesome and she’s never going to have a relationship with anyone until she stops being so spoilt, vain and selfish.

Really regret voting for Pete. His Mom must be very proud, he played a good game. Seems strange to want to raise awareness of Tourettes and yet be so insensitive to Nikki and her problems. She is different, high maintenance and appears to have her personality issues (big deal). But she is fab and we love her and wish her well always. Nikki I can’t wait to see you meet someone who will give you the love and patience you need. You were the winner of BB to me.

A word does not have an apostrophe in it simply because there’s an “s” at the end of the word - you put an apostrophe to denote ownership of something e.g Betty’s frustration or to shorten two words e.g. Betty’s fed up of people using apostrophes in the wrong way ( Betty is became Betty’s, the apostrophe replacing the “i”.

All the way through the last week nikki was asking pete “outside the house will you leave me for another girl because they will be throwin themselves at you.” Pete answered no. But then wht does he go and do dump nikki for aother girl. Pete was my hero of BB7 there wasnt a minute when ididnt like him and most of the time i liked him more than nikki. i felt like i knew pete inside out. since hearing about his split from nikki and his band i feel like i dont kno him anymore he’s soooo different its unbelieveable. He’s let the fame get to his head. He thinks people will still respect him if he dumps a girl so publicly then he is so wrong.

I never trusted Pete from the start and knew he was using vulnerable Nikki. So now he has nobody, no band, no girlfriend and worst of all most of his fans or so it seems. All I can say is thank goodness Pete came to his senses and finished with Nikki they were an absolute non starter and totally incompatable. He made a typical adolescent misjudgment whilst fishing in a very small pond but at least realised and acted upon his mistake early on. Nikki has degraded herself by playing the victim instead of learning from this experience. She must be an absolute nightmare to date and needs to realise that her total disrespect for people and egoccentric selfishness will never result in a happy stable relationship with anyone human! She is her own worst enemy. I take my hat off to Pete and wish him a happy and successful future.
Nikki is doomed unless she has a few years of psychotherapy or a personality transplant.

Endemol edited her very badly in the show – only wanting to show her negatively – but like many people who watched the live feed we could all see through the tantrums that she is vunerable, sweet and very funny. I also like her honestly. In fact she is the only housemate who had no game plan whatsoever. Every other housemate was holding back, picking their words carefully and only showing the viewers what they wanted to show, including Pete. This is why she so desired to win. She is the best housemate ever. Pete you silly silly boy for letting go a girl who truly loved you. By the way did you see Pete face when Nikki was doing her speech. After alot of thought on this matter I think it is for the best that they are not together any more. I think Pete is very unstable and is more than likely to drag Nikki down with him if they were an item. He says that she is hard work but I believe he is also hard to work out. Nikki really did love him and will probably continue to always be there fore him because she knowns that he has been left down before by so many people, including Gemma, there is no way she will do that whatever happens. In the dairy room in the first week she was very genuine about him and saying that she wanted him to be happy and would do anything to make that happen. All those critical people out there that dont believe that was heart felt are so wrong. That is why she wont say anything bad because she really does understand him and wants the best for him even if it means him being with Gemma. That really is true love. In some strange way this is the making of Nikki because they say you need to have your heart broken to really feel compassion and I think that Nikki is probably a better and more caring person because of it. In many ways Pete has made Nikki ‘think’ more and anyone else. Its a shame because Pete would have probably loved the new humble Nikki but it is not to be - but her next boyfriend will have the whole package - lucky boy whoever he is.

I think it is time to move on and accept that Nikki and Pete are a thing of the past. No more blaming or analising. There is no point. They both seem happy enough in their new lives and I wish them both well. I just want the papers to leave her alone so she can gain confidence and find real happiness and love. I want to see her on the TV because she really does have star quality. She won an award for being popular so let us see more of her.

So Pete is getting hitched. So what. If he is so into her why dont they keep it between themselves. He has given the public a step by step (too much information) account of his entire relationship with Gemma. Surely if it was true love you would not exploit yourself to this degree. A photographer working with Nikki over heard her saying she would never get back with him. Maybe he has deep feelings for Nikki but wants to prove to Gemma that her does not. Either way this is so so confusing. Pete - if you really do love Gemma, keep it to yourself. It just screams ‘desperate’. It is getting boring now.

Firstly, I am glad they are not together any more. Pete is bad news for Nikki and I think she knows this. But, the more Pete declares his love for Gemma the more I think he does not love her. I am a bit confused by his behaviour but I bet his head is really spinning. When there is nothing in the papers I am thinking he loves Gemma but when there is some massive article about what they have done etc I don’t think he does. It is all a bit in your fact for me. ‘Actions speak louder than words’.

Just a theory but I wonder if Pete had hinted to Nikki this last week that he had made a mistake but it was Nikki who turned him down and said no way. That might explain him wanting to get hitched so soon and the reason for yet another massive proclamation of love for Gemma for us all to read about. But I am going a bit mad so forget what I said.

I think Nikki is great but I dont hate Pete because of it. So why all the Nikki bashing. Stop - she hasn’t done any thing wrong, apart from being very honest. She is no murderer, no child molester so why the hate. Use that word on someone who deserves it. She just fell in love with someone who has gone off with someone else. We have all been there and it is horrid. Give the girl a break.

After all the rambling and analising they are after all two young people who did have feeling for each other. Many could see their happiness when they were in the house, many could see their future problems. They are both lovely - even though not perfect at all. The press must leave them alone or they could both end up very damaged because they are very similiar and have many insecurities.
I wish Pete well and I hope he has made the right decision. Nikki I love for all her strangeness. Can everyone acknowledge this and stop the hating. Hating is for evil people and Nikki and Pete are far from that.

I have just hear Pete’s new single - Cosmonaut - and its quite good to be honest. I heard the other tracks on the radio last week and I wasn’t quite sure of those and the video was a bit strange but this track is good. Quite commercial. Its on Myspace.
His book signing is also going well and the people do seem to love him when the meet him so good luck Pete with everything. He has had a tough life and he deserves better.
I hope everything goes really well for Nikki. Pete has done her a massive favour because he has made her think and feel on so many levels. It has been the making of her and she has shown she is a real tough cookie. Never underestimate the Nikster.

Hey Pete was on Hereward radio this week and he was asked questions about Nikki. He said he gets upset about things he is supposed to have said about her and they are good mates. He said he wasn’t getting married up a tree and they both said it as a joke.
He also giggled and he also ‘miaowed’ and whistled after he said Nikki. Interesting!!!

A friend of mine has a son who is 18 years old and has tourettes. He has always been lovely natured but for two months this year he went off the rails, spent all his savings, dumped his lovely girlfriend, moved away from his family and hung around with the wrong crowd.
After his ‘blip’ he came back home and resumed his life as before and got back with his girlfriend. It was as if it was just a bad dream.
I wonder if this is what Pete was going through. Just a thought.

No I dont think Nikki will be on the Jungle Celeb, not even the second team, as she would not be able to take living like that and certainly not be able to do the trials. It would be cruel to send her there. Would much prefer to see her with her own talk show, every night.
As for Pete, I always thought he seemed more relaxed and himself with Nikki. Not showing off so much. There seems to be two Pete’s. The Hippy Pete, as he calls himself, who behaves outrageously and the Good guy Pete who so many people, who met him in BB, loved. It would be nice to see more of the 2nd Pete but he has chosen to be a Hippy…Our loss, his choice

I wonder if she has done a short documentary for children in need. I did hear she was doing something like this a while ago but didnt know if it was for children in need or not.
I would like her to be on ‘dancing on ice’. She would be like Bonnie Langford last year. Easy to throw around. She is also a good dancer so that would help her.
Maybe some acting. Hollyoaks or Eastenders. She could do so many things because she looks and acts great in front of the camera.
How about Little Britain’s little sister. She is a huge fan. Or singing. The roadie episode that was not shown said her voice wasn’t half bad. The possibilities are endless!!

I think he has got engaged to silence everyone and to make people aware that he is serious.
But why is he so concerned about what we think. Its always about what people think about him - thats all that counts.
One thing is for sure, and I was a fan of his, he is all about money. The very thing he acused Nikki of.
I think they have swapped personalities.
I am done working him out as a person - dont know where BB Pete and post Pete crossed over - or maybe he was a really good actor and he has us all fooled from day one.

I love the way Nikki is saying nothing about anything. She isn’t responding to newspaper articles and she isn’t letting anyone know who she is seeing. Love it!
And even though some papers always print some nasty story about her the photographers cant get enough of her.Whenever she is at some function its like 50 photos of her and one for everyone else. That really is a telling story. She is here or keeps.

I u ask me pete went into BB7 to get money for his family while nikki went in to get her titz out! Although Nikki was extremley entertaining to watch she could get annoying and this is why pete finished her. I meen wouldn’t you?! Since Pete has come out of the house he has done a few interviews with the press while Nikki stripped down to her underwear and wrestled with Ashlene in Zoo weekly! She’s not a bad girl but Pete wanted to get away from the public eye. This was the complete opposit with Nikki.
