Big Brothers Lesley Sanderson Awarded Damages In Court

The Sunday Sport has paid a substantial sum of money to a former Big Brother contestant after falsely reporting that she had been involved in a three-in-a-bed sex romp with two brothers.

In a statement this week in court, the paper said it accepted the brothers had made up the story about Lesley Sanderson, who appeared on the Big Brother in 2005.

The Sunday Sport had previously reported that Ms Sanderson had met two brothers in a nightclub in Huddersfield and had subsequently taken part in a three-in-the-bed sex session.

The paper made other false allegations of sexual impropriety.

“The article caused Lesley Sanderson huge distress, humiliation and embarrassment,” Hanna Basha, for the law firm Carter Ruck, told the court.

“She found it horrific and extremely upsetting, especially knowing that it would be read by her friends and family. She still finds it difficult to go out socially knowing that people have read the false claims about her.”

Ms Sanderson said outside the court: “I am very happy with the result and delighted that my name has been cleared of these false, highly damaging and very serious allegations which have proved to be completely unfounded.”

lESLEY me GLAD YOU GOT YOUR DAMAGES.

I found many so caled journalists make up the truth ( defamation) and deal with the consequences after because they can afford to go to court and ordinary people cant. They know the law and should stick to it.

    Well done girl
