Former Big Brother housemate Sree Dasari has reportedly slashed his wrists.

The Indian student is said to have ended up in hospital after cutting himself while watching Big Brother on TV. He went to hospital, was stitched up and released but Channel 4 put him in the care of their show psychologist for the entire following weekend.

A Channel 4 spokesman told The Sun: “Housemates’ welfare is of paramount importance. There is a well- established and extensive after-care system in place for all housemates.

“Sree continues to be given ongoing support by the production team and regular access to the show’s psychologist.”

A spokesman for his university said: “We are aware of the incident that took place last Thursday evening.

“We are offering ongoing support to Sree as part of our usual student support procedures.”
