I have just read an article which states that Filton College in North Bristol is starting to offer a course on Big Brother and other reality TV shows as a way of tempting young unemployed people back into education.
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Do they honestly expect people to go on this course, study celebrities such as Jade Goody and then decide to go out to work or on to further study. Jade, who’s mother is currently being investigated for benefit fraud and who herself is renowned for earning money under false pretenses, will hardly inspire people to greatness. What happened to studying people and events that really matter to the world? Ghandi would be turning in his grave!
