Big Brother bosses are in turmoil today after a fan threatened to the daughter of Channel 4 chief executive Andy Duncan.

A crazed fan who is furious about the axe of the shows live feed sent an email to Duncan saying:

“Bring back the live feed or I’ll kill your daughter.”

Channel sources said they hoped the writer was just “lashing out.”

One told The Sun: “Everyone is very spooked by the email.

“It was a horrible thing to send. We’re hoping the reference to killing a ‘daughter’ was just added for dramatic effect.

“Andy Duncan does have daughters so it’s horrendous to think whoever sent it might know this.”

The source said: “We hope it means they were just lashing out to whichever addresses they could get hold of.”

I think the reaction to this has been a little over the top to be honest. In all reality the email probably came from a teenage girl, devastated at not being able to watch Kris take a bath, or listen to his gentle snore all night long. It is highly unlikely that the writer is a highly skilled assassin, staking Duncan’s home on the lookout for his daughter. Let’s keep things in context people.
