George Lamb Says ‘Move On From Big Brother’ – Is Channel 4 Sending Out Hints?

Big Brother’s Little Brother presenter George Lamb has said that it’s time to move on from Big Brother, arguing that Channel 4 should make this years series its last.
“I think they’d knock it on the head after this [series], the 10th anniversary, if they could,” he told The Sun.
“The show has made people a lot of money and it’s entertained viewers at home but now it’s time to move on and find the next Big Brother.”
Last week the show’s host Davina McCall, who has always championed the show ferociously, admitted that next years’ 11th season would be the last in the UK.
Am I mad to wonder if this is Channel 4’s way of breaking the news gently? Both of these presenters work for the Channel and for the show directly. I would be very shocked if they had made these comments without having first received clearance from their bosses to do so, in fact I would be surprised if they hadn’t had the ‘comments’ pre-written for them before they spoke to the press.
Although I can see that the BB format has gotten somewhat tired, it doesn’t stop me looking forward to this summer’s escapades. If it does end next year, I’m going to have to go and book a holiday or something!
