Jade Goody The Movie?
If you aren’t already sick of seeing Jade Goody on the front page of every newspaper and of hearing about her on every chat show then you just might be when this time next year they begin to promote the new movie about her life.
Jade’s publicist Max Clifford has told The Daily Telegraph that Simon Cowell has informed him of the rising interest in Goody across the Atlantic. This increased interest means that the option of making a movie about her life seems feasible.
Clifford said: “Practically everyone is asking him how Jade is doing. All the celebrities he meets have been following her story on TV and in newspapers and magazines.
“She has achieved so much by simply being herself and telling people just how it is. That’s the most refreshing thing about Jade – her honesty.
“When a story becomes this big, the more chance there is about something like [a film] happening.”
Los Angeles-based PR professional Michael Sands said: “Hollywood loves a heartwarming inspirational story, especially about someone who has turned their life around such as Jade.”

I’m sorry but this is getting ridiculous. It’s just going from one thing to another and I’m disgusted. I’ve said it so many times but there are thousands of people suffering who haven’t achieved fame through vulgarity, selfishness and dare I say it racism. Does anyone seriously want their children to see her as a role model because I don’t. And no I’m not some insensitive sod because the cancer part of it is saddening and tragic. But I’m sick and tired of living in a country that wants to play out one of the most tragic times in someones life. Watching every grimace and listening to every minute headline. Taking pictures of her going into hospital while ill and grabbing every opportunity to click away. I’m fed up of people encouraging it and the media swooping in at every given opportunity. And now a movie? The priorities are all wrong and it’s sickening.

Max Clifford needs to think of her boys and this Movie would not work. Jade has secured her boys future and made all women and teenagers aware of the importance of regular smear tests that is enough she needs to be left to rest in peace and allow her boys to move on. Max Clifford should not agrre to this and it will not be Jades decision as she is not well enough to make one. Max will get a lot of commission on this.

Oh Norma I knew about Patrick Swayze but had not idea Farrah Fawcett was dying too. That is so sad and thanks for highlighting it for me. And I agree whole heartedly with your comments. I keep saying it but there are many inspirations out there who got where they are without controversy. I just don’t know what the country is coming to and it truly saddens me.

My comments aren’t “wicked” they’re the truth. How many wonderful mums are out there without this support. Why don’t you aim your sympathy and support at them. But as usual her fans accuse people like me of being wicked and insensitive. All these hypocrites who blasphemed her and rightly so for her disgusting behaviour are now all over her. And as for “leaving the poor girl alone” yeah right. Poor is the completely wrong word to use. I assume you find ex-con Tweed as an honourable man..oooooh sorry this is the same guy that called Jade his “cashpoint” and of course was found guilty of yet ANOTHER assault charge. To the thousands of cancer sufferers out there..I may not be able to give you peace of mind, financial support or take your pain away. But I admire your determination and truly wish all of you as much positiveness as I can x. Yes I feel for the tragedy and all the best to the little innocent boys. I’m sick and tired of being attacked verbally and I’ll tell you what Jade’s critics aren’t the sick ones, they speak the truth. Put your loyalties where they belong with the ones who have no choice but to die in hospital, who scrimp and scrape because their partners have had to give up work to care for them. And as you tell us to “leave the poor girl alone”..why don’t you leave this morbid fascination alone too and stop venting at the wrong people. This country is nothing less than an embarassment.

Thank you Norma I’ve also appreciated your honesty here. I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I’ve lost a few family members with cancer and sadly they couldn’t come home for their final days. Now I’ve learnt Tweed’s curfew has been changed once more. I also have a lot of respect for people who aren’t hypocrites. Neither you or I are happy she is dying. We feel for the tragedy and find it heart rending. But we won’t stand by and say it’s okay either. And I’ve noticed that Jade’s fans are the ones who get nasty and vindictive most of the time and that speaks volumes. Never once have I resorted to vileness with my views and I hope my points and opinions have been valid and thought provoking. But I do not and will not agree to this disgusting, sick and morbid fascination, wanting every sordid detail revealed. Death should always carry respect, dignity and privacy. This is making a mockery of it and it worries and hurts me. I’ve said myself I hope Jeff Brazier takes the boys away from the madness. I am so sick and tired of seeing jade goody everywhere i look. Is she the only woman in the world who has cancer and dying? Because from what i read and hear, she is. She is milking everybody for sympathy and money. It’s so pathetic. The message she seems to be sending is “All that matters is me, I have cancer and dying, so you should pity me, only me. No one is more important than me. Nobody else has cancer and dying like me. If there are, they are not as important as me.” What a bunch of hype and self importance. There are other people out there who are undergoing a worst kind of cancer than her, you don’t see them going on television and newspaper about it, asking for sympathy and money. Do you? They are the real heroes. Going through hell without shouting about their suffering to the whole world. And the family that support them thoughout are also heroes, standingby their love-ones without shoting to the public about their deeds. I take my hats off to those brave, selfless people. To jade goody and her family. You will never have my sympathy, only my contempt.

Well said Lena and Norma. I’m outraged at it all. Screens outside, corteges of cars and streets lined with her fans. I found out yesterday that her boys aren’t living with her. So what was all this “she wants to be home with her children about”? Ooooh I was mad over that. And the sad irony is that not only are those lovely boys (pawns in this charade) not with her everyday, the thug she married doesn’t live there either. I’m sick and tired of her fans using those innocent children as an excuse. Clifford giving every lurid and morbid detail. Saying “it could be five minutes or five days” the scum bag. Shock headlines to keep the nation gripped and making people believe she’s only hours left. They’re hypocrites and liars and using death to keep the public watching. How dare they exaggerate her condition like that? As with life death should NEVER be used as a money making bidding war. This country is becoming a desensitized mess. And yes Lena I’d never thought of it that way..it really is me me me me me. Disgusting and shame on them. To all cancer sufferers my true sympathy and hopes. You deserve the same if not more so. Jade Goody will NEVER be an icon nor will she be falsely praised. And as for a poor mans Diana..NOT A CHANCE!

I want to write this post because I’ve found this particular website open minded to all. I just can’t bear this frenzy any longer. I’ve tried posting in so many blogs but they won’t publish what I write. But yet Jade fans are allowed to criticise people like me for my truthful and disbelieving views. I’ve seen her critics called snobs, insensitive and have a “swinging brick” for a heart. I’m sick of the lies and deliberate cover ups all to make Jade and the rest look caring and compassionate. I cringe when I see someone compare to Diana, etc. She’s had donations, money and misplaced loyalty. This country is truly scaring me. We’ve got headlines specifically designed to make you think she has hours left, then days later somehow she’s managed to speak and ask for a drink of “coke”. No I don’t want her to die but how much more of the sick performance will there be? Her children are paraded in front of clicking cameras. Her “husband” doesn’t even live with her nor the little boys who she said all this publicity was for. I truly am getting disheartened and feel on my own. But I can’t just take a step back and say nothing. I hope the admin of this website don’t mind me asking but does anyone know of a place I could post where I won’t be personally attacked and not allowed to answer back? Everyone I speak to feels the same as I do but the sycophant fans out there seem to out number people like me. I’m grateful to at least be able to post here without fear of my comments not making it onto the page. I appreciate all the people on here and other places who’ve spoke the truth and won’t just pretend. I also admire the fact that we aren’t all hypocrites, etc, and that we feel other cancer sufferers should get the same help and treatment if not more so. Well I made a comment about Madame Tussauds a few weeks ago and now I’ve discovered that Jade wants a wax work made in “honour” of her. I’ll quite happily vent back at people who do it to me but they won’t even submit my posts. They aren’t nasty nor personal to anyone. I’m disgusted with this country and being ignored. I know that many people don’t get the same treatment and money, etc. It’s truly sickening all of it. Every last detail played out in lurid and morbid detail. Bringing the public to the edge with lies and exaggerations. Stretching this vile circus out and milking it until it’s dessicated. To all cancer sufferers (as I’ve said many times) I wish you the same treatment and better. You are my true inspirations. May you have peace and support in your times of need. I’m sick of it all. Who’d have ever thought that death would become a sick and morbid commodity this way? I’m glad not to be alone in this but it doesn get tiring when comments you make are ignored. Not once have I resorted to personal attacks, etc, but I’m supposed to tolerate them from fans. And I agree the newspapers like The Sun are hypocrites and frauds. Jade Goody’s death is a real life soap drama..full of actors, lies and exaggerations. Shame on Clifford, the media, Tweed and all who agree it’s okay to manipulate death this way. It’s wrong.

Well yet again Jade’s fans are angry at the wrong people. And by the way the word is “charities”. There is no reason to make every statement a separate post and sadly I’ve heard the same kind of sentiments too many times. I too hate “bullies” not “bullys” but you know what I hate hypocrites and liars too. I hate people wanting to be icons and using a vile disease to do it. I hate thugs who will benefit monetarily through her death. I hate it when people can’t give me valid reasons to believe this farce. I hate this circus. I hate it when headlines make out that Shilpa Shetty is so concerned. Where’s she been till now? Oh and for your information by the way Shilpa was coming to London anyway, not rushing to see Jade Goody. And if you hate bullies so much how come you like Jade, after all she’s been nothing but. This is a woman who’s used her two innocent boys in a bidding war for money. This is a woman who’s sold the rights to a book that was intended to be private thoughts for a children. This is a woman who expects to be placed alongside Diana and Mother Teresa. You see when you’re going to vent at people like me at least bring valid and concrete facts to the debate table. Something that may raise my eyebrow instead of causing a grimace. But most of all turn to the thousands of others who suffer, who worry about finances and the childrens future. Who don’t want their death to become a morbid and sick side show. Tell them not to moan because they don’t get the extra treatment and wish to do at home with their loved ones. And when you’ve done this come back and I’ll happily discuss it. The problem is my points won’t be easy to dismiss because more than anything they’re the truth.

I work in the cancer hospital and the amount of suffering and heartache i see there from people unkown to the world is shocking funny thing is they are sick of hearing about goody as they recieve no mention at all when they are going through the same illness as goody come on think about all the 1000 of people out there dying from the same thing there not famous is that why jo public isnt bothered about them?

Vicky your work with people who suffer this dreadful disease must be one of the hardest. You see their pain and hear their fears knowing this illness is destroying them. And your point is one of the most valid I’ve heard so far and proves once and for all to me that others with cancer are tired of this charade. I wish there was something I could do to help them. No I don’t know them but it’s not hard to imagine their fear and worries. This country should be ashamed of the vulturistic attitude and hunger for this sick obsession. I wish you all the best and your patients. May they receive as much as Jade Goody infact more actually. Keep up the good work and may all your futures be as bright as possible xx

I haven’t taken the mick out of your spelling. But with how your wrote your posts that were telling Jade’s critics, as we’re used to, we were wrong I responded in kind. We all make mistakes and you must admit it’s hardly pleasant for us to hear the same argument time and time again without good solid reasons behind it. No one is perfect but when you’re going to vent at someone be prepared to have the favour returned. You have to understand that me and other like minded people are sick and tired of being called names and having sarcasm aimed at us. It’s like I said before I will happily discuss things but all I want in return is reasons that are different to the ones I’ve heard countless times. Those lovely children have been used so many times and the “if you don’t like it, don’t buy it” has been too. We may not agree buy there has to be a mutual respect in order to sort things out.

I totally understand your thoughts and like you I believe that people should be allowed to pay their respects to people. It’s dreadfully tragic that this is happening to Jade but that’s not the issue with her critics. It’s the lies and exaggerations, etc, all to fatten others bank accounts. To me this is the complete opposite to true caring and compassion I’m afraid. There’s so many examples of the true meaning to this circus and yet I, like others, are expected through demanding sometimes to go along with the flow. This country is in a shocking mess with one thing and another and I’m bothered that the final act in someone’s life is being abused. It’s the reasons for the screens outside the church. Jade is wanting a Princess Diana type send off. No matter how someone viewed Diana in life she can never ever be compared to her. Jade’s life has been filled with vile acts, racism and disrespect for others. Diana was very much the opposite. It’s nothing to do with her coming from poor a background either. Many people have strived to better themselves, Jade hasn’t. She has continued to live now as she did while young. We can’t afford to condoan this as our generations to come will believe it’s okay to do the same. Trust me there are many celebs out there who are as bad and worse and I would feel the same toward them too. We can’t allow to make Jade an inspiration because she has a dreadful disease. She has to be an inspiration because of her conduct in life and her approach to others, etc. Using cancer and death this way is wrong. To me paying respects is one thing but emotionally blackmailing all these people is appalling. That’s just the way I see it I’m afraid. I’m sad for her illness and untimely demise but as for the rest..it’s truly shameful.

Please tell me you’re kidding! I assume you’re on the internet regularly and you haven’t actually looked into her behaviour, etc? Right I’ll give you examples myself but I’m sorry I’m amazed at your questions and that’s not being funny I’m being honest. Lies: Jade has many controversial moments over the years but one very distasteful lie was when she told her children that Tweed was on holiday while in prison. Surely it would have been best to say nothing rather than lie. She’s also exaggerated her illness when needed to, again far from the truth. Blackmail: Jade is using blackmail (emotionally) to gain sympathy from others every day by the way. This is to ensure more money and notoriety. Diana: Jade has stated she’s wanted a Diana type send off a few weeks ago herself. Bullying: And as for bullying..oh yes that’s why she flung racist comments at Shilpa Shetty, physically attacked her ex-husband and others and has shown aggression so frequently she made headlines in papers. Sorry: You see the word “sorry” can be nothing more than an empty apology. Saying the word is easy to do but genuinely meaning it is quite another. You cannot conduct yourself the way she has and expect a “sorry” to make up for it. When she was bullying Shilpa Shetty and yelling racist comments at her it backfired big time. Jade knew she was in deep trouble and panicked. All the papers wanted to lynch her because of it. How many undesirable characters have mellowed through tragic illness? But it still makes them lesser of a person because of their actions before the illness. My advice to you is take a real good luck at Jade Goody’s past and read up on her. Then maybe just maybe you’ll see the full story and not the sympathy seeking and desperate attempts at wanting to be remembered as an icon. Something she’ll never be. I would put you websites here but I won’t without consent as I’m very grateful to be able to air my views this way. But please take a look..it won’t take long for you to find articles that verify everything from lying to Diana.

It’s not that I agree with her telling them he’d been in prison. Their little minds aren’t ready to hear that. It’s just that she didn’t need to lie either. Sometimes it’s easy to distract children and keep them detached from things like this. Just the fact the boys were kept in the dark till very recently bothered me a little. With all this hype and media attention what if they’d heard it from someone else by mistake? Hopefully their father is preparing them. I’m sorry but the blackmail is evident on a daily basis because it’s emotional. Jade doesn’t want people upset at her because she’s dying. She wants a wax work figure in her “honour” because she’s dying. She wants the public to accept Tweed because she’s dying. She wants a state like funeral because she’s dying. She wants Tweed not to go to prison again because she’s dying. I really do hope you understand now what emotional blackmail is and how it’s used. Of course this vile illness is tragic on it’s own and the thought of it eating away at her is sickening. You see most of her critics feel for the disease and untimely demise, it’s the rest that they want to be stopped. The things said about her are true because she’s been publically caught doing them, or admitted to it. Take the BB incident how much more public can you be? People haven’t invented vicious lies and rumours. Jade has wanted the spotlight on her and has lived on a double edged sword because of it. You can’t expect all the money and fame without objections when you blatantly behave in unacceptable ways and flaunt it too.

Jade Goody’s family have expressed their support for OK! after the magazine published a tribute to the terminally ill star.
There had been criticisms because this week’s special tribute edition was published while Jade, 27, is still alive.
But the reality star’s family said the issue – which carries a black border, the banner ” Jade Goody Official Tribute Issue 1981 – 2009″ and the strapline ” In Loving Memory” – was “very kind” to Jade, OK! said.
The magazine said in a statement: “OK!’s tribute issue is a celebration of Jade’s amazing life.

I just don’t know what to believe..the headlines or people like us who’re sick and tired of it all. One minute people’s sympathy is turning and the next I’m reading about her being an “inspiration”. I’m ashamed of my own country and the sick and morbid fascination of someone who doesn’t deserve this respect. I really am disheartened by the lies, exaggerations and greed. Hi Norma yes I understand exactly what you mean. Tweed should not be allowed to benefit from her death but sadly this will be far from the truth. Now her mother Jackiey has asked for privacy which doesn’t make sense given that the funeral will be televised live. Just saying that feels so wrong but that is what will happen. If this country of ours becomes anymore desensitized I just don’t know what we will do. We should all be wanting to pay respects like with Hallelujah’s father. These are the people who are heroes without the support, etc, from others. Again I feel saddened that Jade has died so young but to stand by and say nothing just encourages further events on similar lines. And as awful as it is there may even be bets on titles by Tweed on his life with Jade. Very tragic and wrong all of it.

I’ve heard not long ago that Jade’s funeral is on Saturday the 4th April. I’m very suspicious as to why though. Diana was buried on a Saturday and more people aren’t working on that day. Plus it’s almost a fortnight away. It’s sadly almost as if it’s giving people time to prepare for it for maximum effect. I do wonder how Tweed will be treat over his court hearing on Thursday. Given that he only served part of his first sentence wouldn’t that mean he will need to serve extra time on top of the second sentencing? From the looks of things this drama will continue for quite some time to come. I’m amazed at some of the things the media are dredging up from nowhere to be honest. But time will tell along with many peoples patiences too.

There is no dignity in death; it’s how you conduct your life that matters. That said, full marks to Jade for wanting to provide for her sons now she’s gone and also that she’s raised awareness of cervical cancer.
On the other hand, a leopard cannot change it’s spots any more than a bully is likely to change their behaviour when confronted with it. Although she may have apologised to Shilpa Shetty, it is my belief that she only did so because she realised that she had effectively ended her lucrative ‘career’ as a ‘TV personality’. I don’t believe for a minute that this Max Clifford-produced ‘apology’ and the subsequent trip to the slums of India, much less her appearance on Indian Big Brother was anything other than an exercise in damage-limitation.
Remember, public opinion only started to sway in her favour when it was announced that she had cancer. Prior to that, she was vilified and rightly so. In fact, the very people that were calling for her head, are now the ones that are crying crocodile tears as if she was their ‘bestest’ friend. The pure hypocrisy of it all sickens me to my stomach.
So yes, I will be glad when this circus is finally over, Jack Tweed is behind bars where he belongs and the rest of the Goody/Budden clan have returned to the obscurity from which they should never have been allowed to escape in the first place.
Kudos to Naomi, Norma, Connie and all the other people who have the common-sense to see through this charade!

Pink, I think you’re missing the point of this forum; people were asked for their comments. Whether you agree with them or not is neither here nor there; this is a free-thinking society and I have posted my opinion.
Please stop going on about Jade as if she is some sort of saint – it’s a well-documented fact that she isn’t. She had her short-comings as do the rest of us – please just acknowledge that fact and move on.

Hi Norma and Hallelujah as usual I’ve not been posting to Pink but she keeps interrupting and venting at one or all of us. My problem is it’s becoming very hard to discuss this without finding a provoking post inbetween and all this is doing is goading an argument. So my post here is only for you two and anyone else who wishes to join. I don’t care whether they agree or disagree but it would be lovely just to chat and see how each other feels. It can be done respectfully and with construction and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading what both of you have had to say.
I won’t change my mind and yes it’s unbearable sometimes when people like us are accused of things we haven’t done. I again would like to thank Lisa and unrealityTV for allowing us the freedom that is denied in many places to air our views. I know that we three think on the same wave length but I also appreciate that everyone doesn’t feel the same. I’m sure you feel the same but I’d hate to lose this place as I’ve enjoyed our chats and points put across to each other. And it’s never been my intention to control what is said either. But I find it fascinating when others reveal their own opinions and can also be a great support.
I’ve just read how uneasy many feel because of the hypocritical hype surrounding Jade herself. And yet the media won’t let it go. I’ve also read that even the funeral is already somekind of carnival sideshow with 21 Daimlers in the cortege of cars for starters. Who on earth are they going to get to use all these cars? The privacy her mother asked for makes no sense..even now we are given every sordid and irrelevant detail. Some won’t even buy the magazines and papers anymore because they’ve been sick and tired of all the Jade headlines, etc. I’ve said before, in the middle of all this was the tragic illness and death of a 27 year old woman. But as a nation we simply cannot afford to ignore what Britain is becoming..a desensitized, sensation craving country that is mocked by so many worldwide. Our priorities are increasingly put in the wrong order.

To no-one in particular. I haven’t singled anyone out in my comments regarding crocodile tears, I was making a generalisation about people being hypocrites at this moment in time.
If anyone feels aggrieved by that generalisation, maybe they should look to themselves and wonder why they are so thin-skinned. It isn’t my intention to come on here and insult people – if I did that I would be lowering myself to Jade Goody’s level.
All I am trying to say is that I am sick of the hypocrisy of, in particular, the Goody family and hangers-on saying they want privacy when they are in the midst of organising a HUGE public funeral and also of constantly hearing about this bloody circus that has taken over the media, a media I might add that was united in its condemnation of Jade Goody during and after the CBB racism row (for which, yes we know, she apologised for).
Naomi, Norma et al. I have enjoyed reading your comments which I wholeheartedly agree with. Thanks very much.

Very eloquent Hallelujah as with many posters here. As a country we can’t allow death and illnesses like cancer to be exploited and it’s wrong for anyone to go along with that. There should never be bidding wars for interviews and magazine stories. This has nothing to do with cancer and all to do with greed and fame achieved only through vile actions and dreadful behaviour. Yes we all make mistakes but we also have a line that once crossed steers us into dangerous territory. Of course people are going to feel angry and ponder over why this is happening in the first place. I have seen a few articles and sadly most of the anger was from Jade’s supporters towards her critics. I’ve sadly even seen one poster wish the cancer onto a critic instead of Jade herself. No matter how angry we may be that is wrong and shows the frightening side of some fans. But then we are verbally shouted at because we point it out.
I will admit I’ve seen some evil and dark comments from some who loathe Jade and they’re truly stomach churning. These people are the lowest and only damage our views even more. But I can catagorically say I’ve never personally attacked a fan, yes I’ve stated my feelings but left the snides to one side. A pleasant debate can lead to many answers where as calling people like us hurtful names produces nothing positive. I too enjoy discussing this with her fans but I agree with all of you that it has to be done respectfully. And your posts for one Hallelujah show this.

I agree Norma and well said. Unfortunately I am now being accused of doing things I haven’t done like yourself and Naomi, etc. This is not right and is a deliberate attempt at halting freedom of speech. In all the articles I’ve read and in all the comments I’ve seen I have never..never seen this type of behaviour once. This is appalling, aggressive and totally unnecessary. I just hope these accusations and dreadful comments aren’t putting others off from posting. And as much as you try to ignore this you can’t.
