John James Parton has admitted that it is hard being the unpopular member of him and Josie’s Gibson’s duo.

The pair met on Big Brother 11, which Josie eventually won. They are now dating but not everyone thinks the Australian hunk is being genuine and honest about his feelings for Josie.

During her time on Ultimate Big Brother, Josie was warned by Nadia Almada and John McCrirrick that John cared more about himself than her and earlier this week, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh said:

“I don’t hate John James but Josie could do better. It seems like an odd pairing – she’s a strong woman and he’s a bit wet and weak.”

On how it feels to be disliked, John told OK magazine:

“There is a certain amount of pressure. Josie is in the limelight more than I am and also, she’s one hundred per cent liked whereas I’m kind of 50/50 liked and disliked.

“I just have to accept the situation I’m in. As long as Josie knows who I am, it doesn’t bother me what other people think. But it’s not good being abused on Big Brother’s Big Mouth by people who love Josie but hate me. It’s not easy to deal with.”

But John claims that he does truly love his Bristol born girl and added:

“She was the only reason I was there [in Big Brother] and the only reason I was in the UK. If it wasn’t for her I would have left the house and got on a plane home.”
