Kerry Katona seemed to be in top form, when she showed up to today’s Big Brother auditions.

Tryouts for the Channel 5 show kicked off in Manchester this morning and yesterday the show’s press team revealed that the mum of four would be their special guest, helping them look after and chat to hopefuls who wanted to appear on the new summer series.

Kerry returned to the spotlight last August, when she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house and went on to finish second in the series, just ahead of X Factor stars Jedward and behind Gypsy star Paddy Doherty.

She seems a bit desperate for publicity at the minute – not surprising when considering recent reports that Kerry is on the brink of bankruptcy again – and yesterday admitted that she is hoping she can join her former Atomic Kitten bandmates, when they reform later this year. However, they don’t seem quite as keen to have her back in the fold.

Big Brother auditions will continue later this month in London, Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th and Monday 20th February 2012 at Wembley Stadium and in Glasgow on Saturday 25th February and Sunday 26th February 2012 at Glasgow SECC.
