Pete Bennett has sensationally revealed to The Daily Star that some of his relationship with fellow Big Brother contestant, Nikki Grahame, was a stunt for publicity purposes.
After reading stories about his rumoured break up with new girlfriend Gemma and the revival of his and Nikkis relationship, Pete fumed:
“I’m fed up with being linked back to Nikki. We wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for Big Brother, and now I want to move on with my life and forget all about it.
“I really fell for Nikki in the house. I needed her there and I was seriously upset when she was taken out. I had real feelings for her and we had something when I came out.
“But then I introduced her to my friends and she was horrific. A few drinks and she really insulted them. It was so awful. I knew then I had to finish it.
“We only carried on for the publicity. We had no relationship at all after that.
“The last thing me and Gemma need now is the papers saying me and Nikki are meeting up again. There’s no way I ever want to see that woman again. Perhaps we can be friends again in the future, but not now.
“I really love Gemma, she’s my woman. I want to be with her and I don’t want anything or anyone coming between us.�

Wow! The tables have turned on Saint Pete Bennett. Funny, we were saying this in the last week of X Factor - how desperate he was getting and that it wasn’t in keeping with his ‘character’ until that point.

Pete would take you to one side to commiserate with you if others were bullying you, but he would never stick up for anyone against the masses. Was this not broadcasted at all?
Likki was never his type and Pete was never her type. It worked for both of them and they got what they wanted, but the producers obviously see they have more mileage in Likki. They both played all of you as it takes two to fake a relationship.
Pete’s actual type was actually Lea as they had loads in common,they knew the same type of people , liked the same clubs and had similar experiences. Lea was just a tad too old and jaded for young Pete.
Pete never was never a hero ( never worked for charities, gave his services to the poor, elderly or starving kids) and I dont know what people were watching to arrive at this “hero” conclusion.
Pete was made into a hero, he was favourite to win two weeks before Big Brother started, so I dont see how he played people, as someone made him a favourite and it wasnt himself, unless he is secretly really powerful.
If people got sucked in to BB, that is their own gullibility. You should really blame the people with the artistic control.
People say to me you were very quiet in Big Brother House. Even though I was delightfully ill I was not quiet at all, I never stopped talking, but my words were tweeted out, edited out or the producers didnt record me at all.
People’s perceptions of me were derived from a made up negative biography and other people talking about me, while my mouth appear to be superglued. That doesnt make it true or REAL.
So I suggest before people put complete strangers on pedestals and others in the gutter, you should remind yourselves you are watching an edited programme and what you see is up to an editor.
So leave Pete alone he never pretended to be anything he was not.
Apropos the awards : I will be voting for the BNP’s Nick Griffin instead of Likki as I think overall he has been less insulting, defamatory and derogatory to me.

Stars are not made in a few months so I wouldnt write Pete or anybody else off, because Endemol UK has not given them their own show on channel 4. As I think spin off programmes were already on the cards before BB7 was even aired.
Channel 4 is not the only channel in the world and Endemol is not the only production company in the world.
Big Brother obviously served as a vehicle to introduce certain people to the general public, who were already known to the TV production company, but had no history so BB was used as a vehicle for new artistes, hence there was so many people this year.
Everyone in the BB house did not have the same contract for that very reason.
Pete will struggle to have a programme of his own because of his tourettes and that is not his fault. In the same vein Shabbaz would struggle because of his mental fragility, again not his fault.
I am not a Pete fan as I did not think he was anymore talented than anyone else in the BB house. I didnt like Grace but she is very talented and bright as the celebrity circus programme shows. Sezer again not my cup of tea but he was talented. George again was also very talented especially at impressions.
I think Pete has been given a status above his own talent, So he is unfortunately doomed to fail.
He has been placed on mount everest when he really should be standing on top of a very large hill.
But I suppose he can always wipe away his tears on his money.

Nikki amuses me like no other HM since Brian Dowling did in BB2. Nikki’s performance tonight on 8 Out Of 10 Cats in a studio full of professionals was great. It was good to see Nikki showing her winning combination of wit and repartee, verve and vitality.

I think the whole situation has been blown out of proportion…demonising Pete for making an error of judgment with Nikki in the house is ridiculous and childish, they were never compatible and were both subjected to media pressure once they entered the real world. Okay they made a few quid with joint interviews but at least Pete had the gonads to call it a day when he realised what an unpleasant girl Nikki was, he could have exploited the situation for far longer by stringing her along but he valued himself too highly and beat a very sensible retreat. In the BB house attractions are based on vulnerability and the strong need for physical and emotional security, he made a mistake and I genuinely believe they were fond of eachother until the realities of living in the real world hit home. Nikki insulted his friends and in doing so insulted Pete. At least his loyalties are well placed.
With regard to their comparable success, Nikki’s had her five minutes of fame… a few tedious interviews and a really awful low budget and appallingly produced show which fell flat on it’s rear end…and Pete has a million pound biography deal and songwriting opportunities with Guy Chambers, why on earth would he be jealous of Nikki who has frankly achieved no more than reinforcing the notion that she really is a talentless, dysfunctional dim-wit?

Nikki was producers favourite and so she eventually will become the public’s favourite, simply because she has been exposed far more than anyone else.
So even when she was voted out, by the masses (out of eleven people) she was put back in, by the producers.
People voted her back so she could rekindle her non existant relationship with Pete. Which was a stunt for the masses.
People wanted a hero and that was pete and people wanted and anglo-saxon princess with blonde hair and blue eyes which is Nikki.
People have got what they wanted. However this only happens in fairy tales and is not real. So Why complain about it now. Of course it was a stunt but who wants real life. REAL LIFE IS ABYSMAL FOR MOST OF US.
Pete in reality a self centred coward with a disability, with no great talent but he is harmless and is just an ok person. He’s no gandhi , he’s no Dr Barnardo, he is no Bob Geldolf, he is no Robbie Williams and no Paul McCartney.

Makosi was the African queen of the last Big Brother and was the most exciting thing. But people despised her and called her a liar, she even had people wanted to kill her, people hated her more than they hated MYRA HYNDLEY ( said the producers). She was not taken into people’s hearts like Princess Nikki.She wasnt given her own series by Endemol and forced on the public constantly, so we got to know the real Makosi.
What Big Brother ultimately displays, is that people do not see with their eyes, they see with their brains. They have set opinions and they interpret the information producers broadcast, so it suits their own wants and dreams.
Britain has now founds an English Rose Princess, but Pete is not quite the Prince the producers edited him to be.
So dont castigate him for that.
Nikki is lucky, as I have personally had to work for everything I have earnt. No-one bends over backwards for me, everything for me is a fight even though I have spent most of my life helping others. It must be great to be taken on face value and judged positively by your own actions and on your appearance. I have never had the privilege of this.

I think Nikki has great star potential. She has been very professional throughout this break up and has proved how loyal she is to people she cares about. The reason Pete finished with her was because of Gemma and only Gemma so why oh why did he say all that unnecessary stuff in Heat. It was spiteful and humiliating. But it has backfired on him big time because the generally public can see the truth. That is why she won the NTA plus the fact that she is endearing and very funny. She also has that X factor that makes you want to watch her, what ever she is doing. I do think that Pete will regret his actions if not already. She was so good for him but alas he could not see it for himself.
To be quite honest who cares now. that gemma is just using pete you can tell there’s no affection there. and once he get’s married to her she will dump him and take all her half because that’s all she want’s pete for the money once she’s got what she want’s it will be bye bye pete.but nikki would of done pete proud because nikki really had true feeling’s for pete and in time he will realise what he as lost letting nikki go for that so called user cherry.
First of all Pete and Nikki have both said that this story is untrue, and are really good friends. It is clearly untrue since they have been out together twice in the past week.
I would also like to point out that because Nikki won at the NTA’s doesn’t make her more popular than pete, especially since eastenders won over coronation street and we all know coronation street has higher audience figures than eastenders. So which would you say is more popular.
I would also like to congratulate pete on his autobiography because from what i’ve seen it is selling very well, and his at number one.
I would also like to wish Pete well. I heard he had been in a car accident involving a lorry. He is ok but upset by the accident.
Of course Nikki is more popular than Pete otherwise he would have won. And Eastenders is more popular and Coronation Street but I also like all of the above. But if I had to choose it would be Nikki and Eastenders all the time.
I really want the best for Pete, I thought he was lovely in the ‘house’ and I could see genuine feelings without the trappings of money, ‘his vision’ and nasty friends and newspapers getting in the way. I am old enough and wise enough now to see what looks right and what looks wrong and it is very frustrating when it is looking you in the face but he cannot see it.
Yes they are very different people but she really made him happy and vice versa.
I think he is a lovely man and I wish him well but I just want Nikki to have peace of mind as well and all the things she dreams of. She is now the new face of Mcmillian Cancer and she can now show to the public her very caring side that the papers refuse to show.
Nikki and pete were great 2gether and now dey split up I am gutted what pete did was wrong but u cant just blame him nikki is great and will be happy again just like pete is now. I LOVE DEM BOTH

I would like her to keep out of the limelight for a while for fear of being overexposed. There is alot of mileage in her and there definitely is a future in showbiz. I think her agent has her down for longhaul.
There is some news that there is going to be a second secret camp on I’m a celebrity with two secret celebs in the camp. I just think Nikki is going to be on the show. She hasn’t returned from holiday yet and there has been no reports of her anywhere. I am sure if she had been in Dubai someone would have got a photo of her and posted it back. Things seem to be too quite.

I watched children in need celebrity scissorshand and she did not have a tantrum. She just repeatedly said no as she did not want her hair cut by anyone let alone Steve.
She was there to only have a massage and was tricked by Lee who tried to set her up big time. The producers wanted her to kick off but she was upset and it did get to her but she was continually polite and just kept refusing. It is all on the children and need web site.

He called it a holiday romance. Well in my books that is pretty strong feelings. I still think about someone I meet 20 years ago on holiday, and I wished I had the courage to see it through.
My friend met someone on holiday and they got married and they are still together. She had to move 300 miles to be with him, left her mum and dad and her job behind but didn’t regret any of it.
I dont doubt he will always think about her but that is as far as it goes.

Nikki went to the Now party this week and there were at least 40 photos of her on a web site.
The Daily Star picked the photo where she is pulling a face and says - no wonder Pete did a runner.

I dont think Nikki was mean to Steve Strange at all. They kept on for ages for her to have her hair cut, she was only there for a massage and the producers tricked her into hanging around for a manicure, that was why she was waiting.
Not one other celebrity was pestered into having their hair cut, absolutely no one. And if she had agreed it definitely would have cut it short.
It was purely a set up to make her have a tantrum, but she didnt even though they were persistent.
She got upset and had a few tears because she thought she had no way out, but she was continually polite and did not shout or stamp her feet.
When they told her it was a wind up she took it really well. How can people ridicule her for saying no to a hair cut.
Anyway the next day Steve absolutely butchered a girl’s hair and because she did not like it he had a strop and refused to speak to her after. He is out of order, not Nikki.
I cant believe there are people calling Nikki all sorts of names because she said ’she is beyond caring’ in the Heat report.
She cant win. If she said she still loved him Pete fans would say ‘get over it’. If she says ’she beyond caring’ it means she never loved him.
