So Did Davina Pressurise Rachel Into Giving Up 10 Grand?
There has been a bit of a backlash and anti-Davina feeling on our forum today, as many people seem to think that the Big Brother presenter pressured Rachel Rice into giving away £10,000 of her prize money.
We’ve included a clip of the exchange below and would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Was Davina harsh with Rachel on last night’s show? Did she pressurise her into giving away her prize money? What do you think?

I think Davina treated Rachel appallingly last night. She lacked professionalism, was semi-hostile and openly derisive of her. The final nail was definitely when she tried to get her to either give her money away or say no and be called a fake. How low can one presenter sink. She did not like Rachel fair enough no-one said she had to but as the presenter of the show she should have been impartial and respected the GBP viewpoint as they made her their winner. Davina not only slighted Rachel Rice but all those who voted for her.

I agree completely M K. The gall of a woman who earns 80K + per show to bully someone (who owns nothing in comparison) into giving away 75K…

I thinbk Davina was pressuring her into giving her money away. In fact Davina was trying to belittle and humiliate Rachel at every opportunity. Davina was totally unprofessional, she should be neutral but was blatantly biased she did not like the idea that Rachel won, she wanted Rex to win. She was also awful to Rachel in her interview when she left the house, she did not pick out the nice things she did in the house but kept on about her being boring and the other housemates not liking her, she did not mention the bullying by Rex. Davina has favourites and focuses on them this year it was Rex who was a nasty bully to a lot of people especially Rachel and it was not winding up, also Luke and Becs and their fake relationship and she allowed Luke several times to put Rachel down. Never before has she asked did the right housemate win, of course she did us the public voted for her, the rightful winner is the housemate with the most votes.

I’ll be honest, in previous series’ when people have boo hoo’d that Davina was being a cow throughout interviews, I thought, ‘Get over it, you’re bitter, she’s just reading from a script etc.’, but come on, Rachel won.
No matter how bland/ undeserving she was, she was the winner, and ought to be treated as such. During BBBM, Davina was a complete and utter twat towards Rachel. Too busy trying to crawl up the behinds of the more media happy contestents.
Forgive me if I’ve been fooled by Rachel, but my impression is, she’s just a genuinely nice, average girl. Face it, if she’d agreed to split the money four ways, she’d have been accused of playing up to the media hoping it got her even more attention, and the fact that she hasn’t split it, means she isn’t living up to her, ‘nicey nicey’, persona. Poor girl can’t win…
