The Daily Star has reported that Big Brother housemate Sophie Reade has previously dated Jermain Defoe.

Reade was introduced to Defoe by her pal Danielle Lloyd and got together with him after Lloyd and he broke up.

“Sophie was initially reluctant to get involved because she knew Jermain had dated her friend,” said a source.

“But Danielle was no longer on the scene and within weeks Sophie was head over heels and was telling people she thought he was the one.

“Sophie was quite young at the time and I think she got carried away with her emotions.”

The insider added: “They eventually went their separate ways and, although they ended on good terms, I’d be surprised if they were still in touch.”
