Rio Ferdinand to be a judge on Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model!
It’s been revealed today that, somewhat surprisingly, footballer Rio Ferdinand is set to become a judge on Sky Living show, Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model!
The Manchester United player will join former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and supermodel turned TV presenter Elle Macpherson on the judging panel.
A source close to Rio told the Sunday People, “It will be hilarious to watch Rio on the show.
“He sees himself as a bit of style expert but he’s up for a laugh, too.”
But of course, Rio is no stranger to the world of style and fashion, and has himself strutted down a catwalk or two in his time, as well as having launched his own range of fashion accessories called #5, which is of course the number on his Man United shirt.
When he launched his #5 range in 2010, Rio said, “I always had clothes around as a kid growing up.
“When my dad went out, I’d put on his blazers and his brogues. I’d be thinking, ‘If only he’d had his name initialled on the inside.’”
Rio will make his debut on the show when it airs in July.
Last year’s judges were of course top British designer Julien Macdonald, The Hills star Whitney Port, and former Calvin Klein model Tyson Beckford.
