Whitney Port & Tyson Beckford to replace Grace Woodward & Charley Speed on Britain And Ireland’s Next Top Model 2012
There has been a shake up over at Britain And Ireland’s Next Top Model, Simon Cowell style.
Just days after it was revealed that the music mogul had axed half of his judges from his American X Factor series, The Sun has reported that Sky bosses have followed his lead and hired The Hills star Whitney Port and US TV presenter Tyson Beckford, to replace former X Factor stylist Grace Woodward and model Charley Speed.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson and British designer Julien Macdonald will remain on the panel and Tyson admitted that he is elated to be joining the famous pair, on a more permanent basis, after he guest starred last series.
“It’s fantastic to be taking on a permanent role on the panel.”
Jane Johnson, director of Sky Living, says: “We’re thrilled to have two new judges who bring with them a huge knowledge of the fashion industry and personal experience of what makes a top model.”
Tyson is best known best known as a Ralph Lauren model. However he does have TV experience and was also the host of both seasons of the Bravo program Make Me a Supermodel.
Beckford also judged and mentored the contestants of the first few episodes of the Australian version of Make Me a Supermodel with model and former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.
Whitney is best known for being one of the main cast members on MTV reality TV series The Hills. She was also a former fashion contributor for Teen Vogue and has worked for world famous designer Diane von Fürstenberg.
