Amanda Holden reveals the advice she gave David Walliams and Alesha Dixon and the worst Britain’s Got Talent act ever!!
Amanda Holden shared a few Britain’s Got Talent revelations in Metro this week.
The new mum was asked if the other judges should respect her authority as she’s the longest-serving judge, she said:
“No. We all do our own thing and value each other’s opinion, no matter how long we’ve been there. I gave David [Walliams] and Alesha [Dixon] the same advice Simon [Cowell] gave me – just say what you think.”
On what acts would attract her attention, she said:
“Think outside the box. I don’t want anything too contrived but we’re renowned for our eccentricities. We’ve been celebrating our Britishness with events such as the Olympics and the diamond jubilee, and long may that continue. I’m sure there are lots of naked unicyclists who eat fire while juggling dogs and I hope to see them at the auditions.”
One thing to avoid, though, is blood. The judge said:
“The worst acts I’ve seen? Anything involving blood or violence. There are some that we didn’t even show. One man had a dartboard tattooed on his back and his friend threw darts at him. That probably wasn’t something the general public wanted to see. There was an old woman who broke pavements slabs over her neighbour’s back. She was in her sixties. It was amazing.”
