America’s Got Talent: Was Susan Boyle pre-recorded?

The Daily Star has claimed that Susan Boyle’s recent performance on America’s Got Talent was pre-recorded.

A source told the newspaper: “Given Susan’s history, no-one was taking any chances. It was a sensible precaution to get her songs in the can.

“It took the pressure off her and enabled her to relax and give her best in front of her biggest ever audience.”

A good 70% of the American pop crap artists might never have been heard of had it not been for the likes of Simon Cowell and his record companies. I am not just speaking of the new and rising from the reality based televised talent shows. To some people desperate to make it Simon Cowells other name is God. So maybe its time to cut him some slack, for without him nothing of any good has been coming out of America in the last 10 years.

Of the 100 million hits and more on you tube and every where else of Susan Boyles performances the majority of Americans love her live or pre-recorded.

With reference to pre-recorded she won’t be the first and last big name to ever be pre-recorded, Michael Jackson, whitney Houston etc have all been pre-recorded so there is no shame in it even though I much prefer live.

There is something wrong with the page as it is cuting off again at the end of lines of type.

Yes, Susan was pre-recorded–as was Cirque du Soleil! Not because of her “history” but because the set-up with the orchestra was complicated and would have taken too long to do live. Pre-taping segments of a live broadcast is a common practice for many reasons, usually technical complexity or the scheduling demands of performers. That audience on 9/15, when the taping occurred, was full of Susan fan club members, who had been invited and given tickets. THERE IS NO DEEP DARK SECRET ABOUT ANY OF THIS. This article’s only purpose is an attempt to denigrate a wonderful new singer who happens to be a beautiful person. The trolls who publish such bilge are depending on public gullibility to swallow it whole–or they are woefully ignorant of the television business.
