Ant and Dec say “the audience should be able to watch both” BGT and The Voice
While being interviewed for Chris Moyles’ Radio 1 Breakfast show, BGT hosts Ant and Dec revealed that though they aren’t at all worried about competition from The Voice, they think viewers “should be able to watch both.”
As happened last week, tonight, the shows will overlap by twenty minutes, and as we reported earlier, Simon Cowell has ordered “edits and rewrites” in order to try to win the battle for viewers.
The Voice managed to score three million more viewers last week, however, of the new singing talent show, Ant said, “I watched a bit of it and thought it was all right.
“It is great to have competition.”
He then joked, “I just worry I have seen it now – I saw the chair work…”
And Dec added, “I like a bit of fun and it didn’t make me laugh.”
But of the twenty minute clash, he said, “The audience should be able to watch both.”
Finally, of which are their favourite acts this year, Ant said, “There is one dog so good I had to check it wasn’t a dwarf in a dog suit.”
