This guy Austin Blackburn is rediculous – the sound of the saw is NOT a new sound, it’s centuries old! Hasn’t he heard of all the different musical saw competitions and festivals around the world? Here is an example: http://www.sawlady.com/musicalsawfestival.htm
He sais: “I would like to promote the saw as a proper musical instrument.”
Hasn’t he heard of the numerous classical/contemporary composers who wrote for the saw, not to mention the many movie sound tracks using it and the many rock groups using the musical saw as a proper musical instrument?
Obviously he is just a gimmick seeker, not a true artist. Do a Google search – you’ll find hundreds of sawists.
