BGT 2010: Spellbound banned from doing high flying move

Britain’s Got Talent hopefuls Spellbound have revealed that show bosses banned them from performing a high flying stunt on tonight’s show, as it was deemed too dangerous.

The group have previously revealed that producers have ordered extra medics, thicker crash mats and issued a ban on body makeup for their appearance tonight, in which they plan to stand on each others heads to make a human pyramid. However group leader Alex Uttley added that they had one other move planned before bosses saw their rehearsals and asked them to remove it from their routine.

He told The Daily Star:

“We would have stacked ourselves three people high and then hurled one of our members high in the air.

“But we’ve been told we can’t. It could end badly. So sadly it’s been scrapped.”

After being branded ‘pasty Brits’ by America’s Entertainment Weekly magazine, Alex added that their new style will surprise viewers tonight.

He said: “Our look will be different too. I can’t say what, you’ll have to tune in.”
