Blind pianist Andrew Napier & Alannah Carson impress at Britain’s Got Talent 2013 auditons *SPOILERS*

Andrew Napier

A blind pianist was one of the stand out acts at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions this month it has been reported.

18 year old Andrew Napier and his friend Alannah Carson are being tipped as the new Jonathan and Charlotte, after they tried out for David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden in Manchester recently. The talented pair didn’t get to showcase their act to Simon Cowell, as he missed their session due to illness.

The pair were reportedly approached by producers of the show in October last year and asked to try out for the ITV series and they started by sending the bosses a video of a self penned track named ‘Hold On’. The pair later performed the song for staff at open auditions last year in Glasgow’s SECC

Last week they sang for the celebrity panel at the Lowry Theatre, Manchester and it’s been claimed that the judges and audience both loved the act.

Allanah told The Clydebank Post:

“It definitely went well, at least part of the audience gave us a standing ovation.

“For me it was a surreal experience.

“Andrew seemed quite relaxed about the whole thing but I was terrified because I looked out just before we went on and could see the panel and the audience.”

She added: “Simon wasn’t there because he was unwell which was a shame, but it was still brilliant.”

Britain’s Got Talent returns to our TV screens in April and acts that have shone so far this year include Irish dancers Keep It Reel, magician James More, Bethan Horton, girl group Primrose Hill, magician Ryan Hicks, Andrew Leigh Evans, Jack Duff and Cormac Connell and McKNasty.
