Whilst touring the UK for the recent Britain’s Got Talent audition, Simon Cowell was allowed to park wherever he wanted, a priveledge usually reserved for the Queen.
Simon insisted that he was able to park his car outside every theatre they visited, and wanted his bodyguard, Tony, to remain in the car for the whole day.
A show insider told The Sun: “Simon likes to get his own way and was adamant that Tony should be able to park the Roller right outside every theatre.
“He hates walking anywhere and the idea of being mobbed fills him with fear.
“So we contacted all the relevant councils and asked them if they could make a special dispensation.
“The producers sorted it out verbally on the phone. Simon doesn’t have a special sticker or anything.
“It wasn’t always easy as only the Queen and senior members of the Royal Family get to park wherever they like.
“But I think many of the councils were grateful that Britain’s Got Talent was coming to their town so they helped us out.
“It was only for a few days at a time.”
