Britain’s Got Talent 2009: Ant & Dec Hope For Comedian Win

Ant & Dec, I'm A Celebrity 2008

Britain’s Got Talent presenters Ant and Dec have admitted that they would like to see a comedian win this years ITV series.

However the pair worry that judges Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell don’t have a good enough sense of humour to pick a truly funny act.

“Piers and Simon have a bizarre sense of humour,” said Ant. “Things that the audience and ourselves find funny, they just don’t get.

“So it’s tough for comedians. We’d love to find the next Peter Kay!”

Dec added: “Sometimes they judge an act on whether the act appeals to them, when they should be judging on whether it appeals to a mass audience.

“Simon often judges an act on how many records they would sell, which isn’t a very fair way to judge a comedian or a magician!”
