Britain’s Got Talent 2009: ‘Good Evans’ The New Von Trapps!
Unreality TV was treated to a sneak peek at this Saturdays launch episode of Britain’s Got Talent and we are spilling the beans on what you can expect from the third series of the show.
One of the final acts who auditioned for the judges were a family act named ‘Good Evans’. The group consisted of Mum Evans, Dad Evans, Son (Elliot) Evans and two seriously cute wee girl Evans.
The band took to the stage and sang the Jackson Five classic I’ll Be There and once again the sight of cute kids singing nearly moved me to tears. The audience gave the family a standing ovation but Simon had a few words of advice for the group.
Simon revealed that whilst he loved the kids singing he was put off by Mum’s and particularly Dad’s vocals. He advised them to take a smaller role in the act and let the children shine. Personally I liked the whole package and thought the parents sang brilliantly, but who am I to argue with the all powerful Cowell.
You’ll have to watch the show on Saturday night to see if Simon succeeds in splitting up the family act, or if they make it intact, through to the next round.

Well I was there!!! I managed to get a ticket to see the filming in Brum and I can say that the singing family were superb.
Personally though, I feel Simon was a bit harsh on the adults as I thought they sounded very good!
Watching it again I really thought the parents were great, it is obvious where the kids get their talent from. Also, I’m not sure the kids could do it alone. I have three wee ones myself and I don’t think my kids would be able to do that with me, never mind without me! Keep Good Evans in, it’s nice to see a real family act!

Elliot definatly is the star of the family, hes got an amazing voice and could go realy far. The mom was actualy quite good too i though! But dad and the 2 little girls were lacking. (Although the girls were adorable! Just too young and their voices a little shaky!) If the family decided to let Elliot go solo i reckon he’d actualy have a chance at winning, he was brilliant and excatly what the public would vote for. I just dont think they’ll go for the whole family which is a shame because the lad deserves the chance =)
oh my goodness, Elliot was really good but im dying to know, what was the song that was played at the beginnning of their vt thing when they were chatting to ant and dec, im desperate to know!

Oh my god they were brilliant!!! the boy is amazing and the girls r so cute, I thought the parents were good. And i wish them well in the next stages…no doubt they will go far!! seem like a genuine nice family as well.
i just wanted to say that after watching britain’s got talent, i was amazed by the talent elliot has, i go to school with him, and he’s only in year eight, but the voice he has is truly brilliant, i wish the whole family good luck and i’m hoping to see elliot at school after the holidays

i thought they were brilliant, they could win if elliot went solo, the mother wasnt that bad at singing but the dad was horrible, the 2 girls were the cutest ever like connie who was on BGT a couple of years ago, and look how far she got! they could go far if they get rid of the parents.

Wow!!!! Elliot was amazing, i dont think i’ve heard a kid like mee sing that good!! It gave mee goosebumps, awwww so sweet. I thought Olivia and Georgia were twins, they’re so cute. Mum and dad were good aswell (ignor the judges). Wish all the best!!!! good luck. xxxx

Elliot was AMAZING! I age as him and I am audition for britain got talent this year. U were all ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT honestly even Giles. Good Luck and keep it up!

I Just wonna say that i really enjoyed watching Good Evans sing on BGT. Elliot was amazing and i could of listened 2 him for hours. I thought he sounded like a young Michael Jackson and as a massive Michael fan i think Elliot could go so far.
The Good Evans Family Group and Susan Boyle were nature talent and not acted. These brilliant individule will be shining not only for UK, but the whole world.

My 5 year old son Curtis has been watching the clip over and over again on YouTube – he thinks that Elliot is absolutely amazing. He was even dreaming about him singing last night. He hopes one day to meet Elliot! Good luck.

Piers and Simon were so wrong and unfair to criicise mum and dad. boh were great singers. Just really shortsighted to think that realtalent has to be shoe-horned into a cliched mould eg. cute kid’s act, to get a break. The kids were all stunning aswell. both little girls were spot on with their pitch if you listen careully. They just sound a bit shakey, but maybe that’s just nerves. The whole family are amazingly talented and should deinately stay together. It is a beautiful thing that the family are doing to enjoy singing together and should be an example to all the families out there who don’t have anything they can all enjoy together as a family. Love you guys. you just make me feel happy.
how old is elliot??? i think they were all amazing especially elliot, and i think the judges were overexaggertating about ‘he was rubbish’ cos the dad and mum really weren’t that bad. it it actually true that elliots voice broke, or is this just some stupid joke. and btw it could be a joke cos the auditions that we have like just watched on telly are not live, they were filmed in januray and february, so if his voice did break, did it break after he did the audition or like last week or something.
