Britain’s Got Talent 2009: Piers Morgan Defends Decision To Sack Kelly Brook

Britain’s Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan has defended Simon Cowell’s decision to sack Kelly Brook after only six days as a judge.
Morgan told the News Of The World: “This is the biggest show on British television. You don’t want to damage the brand trying to flog something that isn’t working. In these situations you have to deal with it.
“It would have been worse if we’d got to the end of the audition process and the show wasn’t very good. It would have been confusing for the public – which would have been a disaster.”
Morgan, showed a rare glimpse of his sympathetic side when he revealed his empathy for Kelly saying:
“The producers watched the tapes back from six shows we did and it didn’t seem right having a fourth judge,” he explained. “I feel very sorry for Kelly. She’s upset about leaving. I’m going to have a chat with her and support her.”
