Britain’s Got Talent kicks off this Saturday night on ITV1 and boy we have a treat in store this series.

One of the first acts to appear on the debut show of the show’s third series is Manjit Singh. Manjit is a 59 year old security consultant by day, amazing strongman by night.

For his audition he promises to blow up a hot water bottle until it bursts and then finish with pulling a car with his ear. Now I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a hot water bottle blew to full capacity, but it looks more like a space hopper than a water bottle, have a look at this shot on Manjit’s website.

By the time the water bottle actually bursts Manjit is shaking from the effort and the judges are tense with anticipation, I think they were half worried that he was going to get facial injuries as a result. Thankfully he didn’t and was able manage to move onto his next trick.

Manjit proceeds to attach a strange iron clamp to his ear with a rope running to a minivan. The van is being steered by his friend. Dec seemed concerned by the extra weight and shouted to the man in the van “Get out fat bum!” Fortunately the extra body made no difference to the Leicester strongman, he pulled then van right along the stage and his ear remained intact.

Manjit finished act by promising the judges that if he got through to the next round he would pull a 747 by the power of ear and there’s no doubt he can do it, just have a look at this!
