Britain’s Got Talent 2010: Josh Barry the next Justin Timberlake?

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Josh Barry has revealed that he hopes to be the UK version of Justin Timberlake.

Josh impressed the judges and audience alike during his BGT auditon, as he belted out a soulful version of the classic track ‘My Girl. He has since made the show’s top forty and will be performing on tonight’s live semi final.

Admitting that he hopes his exposure on the ITV talent show will lead to a massive pop career, Josh told The Sun:

“I’d love to have a career like Justin’s.

“He’s got albums, his own label and he’s getting into acting, another thing I love.

“He’s also good at dancing. He’s an inspiration.”

He added: “I’d love to make my first million before I’m 20, that would be cool.”

If he does win BGT, Josh has already planned what to spend his £100,000 prize on. He said:

It’s my birthday on June 6th. I’d buy a car and have a massive party.

“My brother is trying to persuade me to get an Audi A3. I’d really like a convertible – that would be so cool and girls would love it.”

However, Josh’s life isn’t all fame and showbiz. He revealed that his parents are still making him concentrate on his studies and exams in case his singing doesn’t work out.

He concluded:

“They gave me the talk, saying, ‘I know you’re on Britain’s Got Talent, but you’ve still got exams – and you have to tidy your room!’

“I had exams in the week building up to Britain’s Got Talent, the past week, and I’ve got them again after June 9th. I’ve been revising in taxis.

“Remembering stuff for exams is much harder than remembering lyrics on stage.”
