No one loves Piers Morgan like Piers loves himself and the smug star has focused his attention on X Factor judge Cheryl Cole this week, telling her ‘I told you so!’

The Britain’s Got Talent judge claims that he always knew that cheating Ashley Cole wasn’t good enough for Cheryl and he told Recognise magazine:

‘Her only failing recently has been to marry Ashley Cole, which any Arsenal fan could have told you.’

‘I kept warning her about him saying he’s not the guy for you Cheryl, you should be with someone more six foot one called Piers.’

And reminding Cheryl about another moment in her life we’re sure she’d rather forget, Piers added:

‘I think the way that Cheryl Cole has rebuilt her life since the toilet attendant incident and become one of the biggest stars in the country and the way she’s changed the way she behaves is a great credit to her.’

Piers Morgan is certainly the best at giving a back handed compliment isn’t he?
